  1. here are a few sites I use for reviews, tips etc http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/ http://ipmsstockholm.org/ http://www.hyperscale.com/ aircraftresourcecenter have pictures of the kit you mentioned - go to gallery-propeller-corsair. note this will be a big piece of plastic and take up a lot of space- it also appears to be a poorly detailed kit and not up to the surface detail of more modern kits. but you might be able to get aftermarket parts for the cockpit etc to get lore detail. perhaps you might be better to start with 1/48 scale - this is a nice size to work on and you can get more modern kits- tamiya and hasegawa make nice kits I am still using brushes but plan to get an airbrush soon - the finish is so much nicer- one thing that really sets off modles is the varnish at the end - use future floor varnish to seal and get good surface for putting on decals then put a mat varnish on top to reduce sheen- future is also good for getting cockpit glass looking good and as a protection against glue smudges and paint smudges- see http://ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2005/ ... nopies.htm

  7. @ CG It will be displayed as arming with wing gun ammo panels and nose gun panel open. I was going to try to fit it so that the engine cowel was removable but couldnt do this as the kit wasnt designed that way. I actually have a shakey hand mate which makes the finer detail work interesting

  22. My x-45 has given up the ghost after a few years of solid abuse. a bit dissapointed tho
  23. another tip is to avoid using boost / WEP as long as possible - this keeps the engine cooler - I have been using this recently with 190s and 109s with very good results- on tueday I was in a protracted df with a yak in a 109k and engine ran sweetly the whole time- usually I have to bug out due to overheat. now I only use boost when extending ( running like a little girl) or trying to close on an extending bandit. the only thing I have to remember now is to turn down revs on 109 prior to engaging boost to prevent greneading engine- some of the top 109 guys use prop pitch but the engine is too fragile IMHO and I usually end up destroying it when I try
