1) Me109 engines have auto management so dont have superchargers or mix. They do have WEP or boost. dont run with boost on all the time or they overheat quickly. Only engage boost when about to enter fight or flight. You need to quickly put revs down to zero, engage boost then power up - if you engage boost with any revs then you will grenade the engine quickly. 2) for superchargers and mix- found usually on US Russian and Japanese. Watch the boost pressure indicator and it will tell you when to apply superchargers. It is altitude dependant so a good rough rule of thumb is below 2000m off or stage 1 and above 2000 stage 2 watch for smoke to know when to lean engines. full details in this excellent article http://mission4today.com/index.php?name ... ow&kid=249 hope this helps

here is the start of the FW190A6 1?48th Im working on. The Eduard model is superb and its the first time Iv used photo etched parts - Its very very tiny -the instrument panel is 6 parts, the seat belts are 2 parts each but its worth it I think you can see a small map box and the rudder pedels are very detailed- pity they are going to be painted over in dull grey

well done - and very good price too one suggestion tho is to put the graphics card on its own power lead without splitting- use the splitter on other things like hard drive and floppy etc dont have to if you arnt getting any problems but if you do then try this.

If he wasnt firing then Id have dived in. If he was firing Id still make take up position as he might run out of ammo or have to break off or it might have made the bandit turn and one of you might have got him. Only way to know if it is ok by him is if both are on comms but better to get the bandit than let it away.

very good point - you will need slightly MORE lead for 20mm cannon and even more for 30mm and slow ROF guns, but this will give you a ball park to start with and in my case my perceived lead was at least 1/2 a ring too small in most cases and 1 full ring in high angle off shots. the big eye opener was how a little back pressure on the stick has a drastic effect when turning and trying to get lead- I now fly with nose trimmed well down best to keep you Angle off less than 30 degrees where possible to have a chance of hitting.

Its not that bad a plane but does have a sudden snap stall - needs trimmed a lot to keep it fast- but Im only learning how to fly it

apart from the usual suspects like bbloke who use the force to assist in aiming a few of us ( ME ) have trouble hitting a cow with a banjo at 1 pace apart . anyway someone suggested I use the gyro gunsight to help and Iv been doing quick mission builder dogfights with this and it had opened my eyes. I still miss but at least I can accuratly guage how much I miss by normally- no seriously if you use it right then you hit everytime. how do you use it well there are guides at airwarfare but it really is a 3 step operation 1) go to the control section of il2 and look at

I recommend trying to get a 19" or 21" trinitron or similar as then you have the option to try running higher resolutions. the only drawback is the amount of desk space that these take up. kind of hard to recommend any particular model as the reviews are hard to find as most cover LCDs but sony ( dell are sonys I believe) and viewsonic I remember were good. trinitronic gives true flat screen although you do get 2 very very thin gray bars running side to side. most people never notice these but for some it was an issue. I only noticed them against
