you been sniffing the glue again painless? I am still using a brush to paint but hope to get a spray gun soon. I put on a surface primer and it worked better than straight onto plastic- tamiya white brush tips- thin down the paint. It should have the consistancy of milk. leave to dry before going near it again- I use xtracolour and they take 3 to 4 days to dry once you have done the basic paint job coat the plane in future and leave to dry- it is now safe to handle and you can put on effects. wash the panel lines, put on highlighting , smoke etc, without ruining the base paint put on decals. finish with matt varnish to tone down the future and seal on decals. hope this helps

thanks for the link mate- no real surprise that 4.09 will be end of the line. all products have a limited timespan and we have had fantastic support in the past but its logical that oleg and crew have to draw the line sometime However no matter how good his BOB will be , it will need to be fantastic to replace what we already have, it will also require major hardware upgrades and it will have a limited planeset for a while. a cynic in me says that this hack came along at a very convenient time and its no big deal for him as if il2 is comprimised then it will die off online and so steer folk to his new product.

coming on very nicely. I like the look of the instructions they look very detailed. what paint did you use for the engine. I used oily steel but it is more steel than oily so I like the look of yours mate. I might make a mix of my oily steel and more black to get the same effect
