Here is a few shots of this speed build. It was completed in around a week including breaks for work. A nice kit , with few pieces and a good fit. only problems were no location holes/pegs for surfaces, instructions were very basic resulting in me doing the undercarraige wrong and having to fix, but that might just be me. OOB except for decal seatbelts from a tamiya P-47 paint is tamiya and xtracrylix applied with a brush , colours were mixed to some samples I found on discussions on forums, the blue still looks a bit garish and I might tone it down later but Im happy with it just now

very nice please take care ... too many of my biker mates ended up in hospital at one time or another, I broke my kneecap when I was 24 on my bonneville 750. usually not the bikers fault but someone not looking I love bikes but I dont think Ill ever get another, too many folk on the roads around here who dont know what they are doing

Ill see if I can get time. Unfortunatly I have not had a lot of time to get used to the game so I will be a complete novice at CEM- if I get time Ill watch some of the you tube videos posted One thing Im interested in, do you the mouse for clicking on things like magnetos etc or have you your keys mapped?

@rattler - definatly look at the eduard etch - I used this one http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED32075 and the coloured seat belts and it really improved the pit . I used eaglecal decals and have spares if you need any let me know and Ill post them to you @ fooltrottle , it isnt that big , 11" long with a foot wing span, my 1/48 phantom is about the same length .

99% complete just the aerial wire and cockpit canopy wire to do - might do some light weathering later on 21st centuary toys kit , eduard etch for pit and seatbelts and eagle cal decals nice kit - only real bugbear were that machinegun bulges were poor so I didnt fit them and the airleon balance were not included in the kit and are a distinctive feature on 109s

Controls List Needed
delta7 replied to MadTrooper's topic in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Desert Wings: Tobruk
In il2 CoD not all actions are assigned and some default are different from Il2 46 so I had to make up the spreadsheet, in order to use the same profile on my X-45; which I am used to. The spreadsheet is pretty basic as I still cant play the game so gave up on it, I have windows 7 now and I am awaiting a new drive to put it on , costing me a fuggin fortune . -
Controls List Needed
delta7 replied to MadTrooper's topic in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz and Desert Wings: Tobruk
I have an excell spreadsheet made up if that is any good to you - it is not a complete list as there are dozens of controls for magnetoes ets but covers the main user inputs. Being a spreadsheet you can easily add to it I copied over my il2user profile and then listed all the BOB keys then maped them together so that they match - I have my own set of custom controls but most are default so you should be able to adapt the spreadsheet for your own Posted here http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/497-il2-cliffs-of-dover-to-il2-46keymap/ -

I have just orderd windows 7 and paln to dual boot so will send you a pm with some questions mate S -
The guys have summed it up well. This had great potential but is not a finished product. Its like someone had a project to do a great graphics simulation of the 1940s and then tried to tack a game onto it and it does not work. The whole thing is bug ridden. Do not buy it in the current state and save yourself money and frustration. I have only once before given up trying to get my PC and a game to run ( Arma2) and I even got that to run after a year of patches and tweaks . I can see a lot of similarities here, potentially a great simulation by a small developer with great community support but it will take time to get it in an acceptable state.

While I agree that XP is old , it is still used by a lot of gamers and folk who like to run lean systems. Vista had a very bad rep when it came out so many chose not to run it. Windows 7 seems to be good but there is no direct upgrade from XP so it would be a clean install , then reinstall all my software, all for one game. I cant afford to throw any more money at this , I might get windows7 and a new hard drive at christmas and go a dual boot if they sort it out by then but I really dont know what they have been doing for 6 years so I arnt very hopeful about this. I am sorry for rants but I think Im computer savvy and have spent a lot of time trying to work out the structure of this damned thing and seeing what others have tried and it just sucks that it has been put out in this state when a lot of folk have waited for it and supported it by buying it. I had suspicions about the state of it , no press release, no store release, no review copies etc. If Id spent 6 years developing the next best thing I would have wanted to shout it from the rooftops, but was prepared to give it a chance. My advice to all here is dont buy it. Wait and see and hope that they act on the feedback and get it sorted. Cold Gambler is right , if they think the freedback is bad just now just wait until the USA release, they are going to get crucified and a lot of folk are going to want their money back. -

new card is asus-engtx460-top which replaced a innio3d 8800GT. The 8800 ran the game fine graphically but very low frame rates. Should have been a straight replacement with drivers but I have tried 3 different drivers, cleaning out the old ones each time, with no joy I have tried the beta patch as well and this did not help I have submitted a report to Nvidia DXDIAG Time of this report: 4/8/2011, 17:12:11 Machine name: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.080814-1233) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 3326MB RAM Page File: 922MB used, 4286MB available Windows Dir: F:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.
