delta7
Hi Hope some of the more experienced with this sim can offer some sugggestions 1) I bought the SE5a but the head position seems too high and when I centre it it always seems to look up? no problems with other planes 2) since the last patch my performance has deteriorated, I get stutters and slowdown although fraps says Im getting 30-40 fps but it isnt smooth I have set the graphics to 1280*1024 full screen post effects are hdr -mono med with only rain ticked quality is land -med grass-med trees-low shad-special-med refl-med tex-high filtes AA*2 for-med shad-med light 4 advanced aa2 land mesh 50% obj 50% dither not ticked multi gpu not ticked I downloaded the rofboost and have tried this and it helped but I would still like to play this with better fps perhaps my spec is just too low? 1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted June 30, 2011 1. DDz Quorum Report Share Posted June 30, 2011 1) Try and move the in cockpit head position using the keys defined for it. (Insert, Delete, Home, End, PgDn, PgUp) I've had the same issue, and after moving the head around a bit, my TrackIR center button suddenly did center the position correctly, and heading straight forward. 2) Could be your system just can't handle it, but I'm not sure. Check /Report your NVidia control panel settings as well.

Gustang
Well, at least you're aware of rofboost. Here's a thread regarding it, if you're not already tracking the developments there. http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=300&t=16756 Also, the graphics primer for 1.019 should apply just as well for 1.020 http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=20189 Hope it helps, Gus

DD_Arthur
Dave, have you pushed your cpu? I've got my E6600 running at 2.9ghz very easily and that was worth a 5-10fps overall. Also, when you start the game, don't launch RoFboost. Tick the sli box. Weird, but it works! My settings with Win7 64bit, 4gigs ram and an Nvidia460 with756vram; 1680 x 1050 screen res. V-sync on fps limiter 60 post effects, hdr, etc OFF Landscape, grass and trees all high Shadows: Common medium Reflection and textures high Anistropic x8 Forest vis. Far Shaders quality Max Light sources 20 Anti-aliasing 8 Landscape mesh 80% Objects vis 60 Multi-gpu ticked This gives me Video memory usage of 86% I get in the range 30-50fps but it's smooooth. Multi-player is still a struggle though. Newbie d/f server only around 20fps
delta7
I have tried the settings arthur sugested and those from madtrooper but no joy , I had to turn off all post effects, turn off sli and use the rof boost program and it seems ok - will test more
