Sweper
Since I did not go to the airshow, most because of the loss of a Spitfire, (deadly crash) and the P-51 did not show up because they were in the same team, I decided to accept an inventation from a friend to visit one of the highest points in town. I broght my camera, of course and got some shots from the top of the Silo. I dont know how high this thing is but I had a tremendous view from there. I used a 12-24mm zoom and a 10.5mm fisheye. Sight from harbour. Were standing up here. First pic´s were shot from down below cross the channel. Surroundings from south to east.

JensenPark
Nice Swep... where exactly is this again? Is that a natural inlet - or was it dug out as well as a canal?
rox
Oh very nice, I can smell the fresh air through that picture. (no intention to hijack the thread but...) I love heights. In fact, I love them so much that I did a similar thing 4 years ago. I climbed this thing. Went for a little adventure. In 3:30am, infiltrated thermal plant grounds which were unguarded at the time, over a fence right next to the town police station which is just some 10 meters away I didn't climb to the top but only to the middle, the middle ledge that goes all around the chimney. May not look olike much but the lowest ledge is about 4 stories high. I *DIED* of fear up there, it was up to then the most frightening experience of my life, on the middle of that chimney I was looking down on 12 story buildings nearby, and my own 7 story building looked like a toy. The ledges were actually grille so it was like walking on air the whole time. (I didn't walk actually, I crawled because I dared not stand up) These pictures are horrible for they were taken by a 2 megapixel cell phone camera. (first two pictures were from first attempt when I only got to the lowest most ledge, others are from the second attempt when I got to the middle) nav light one of the fuel storage tanks of the thermal plant, this was taken from a lower ledge I vowed to return one day and climb all the way to the top, with a safety harness this time so I can rest if I get too tired, it's hard stuff climbing a ladder almost 100 meters. Thing is, they have a security guard now, and there is only one way to get to the chimney, which is surrounded by structures from all sides, and the only way to it would make me seen by the guard. :/ Also, would be nice if this was a thread where other people post their town photos too I may post some proper ones later

Sweper
Thank you all. JP, it is a natural inlet from the ocean. Or outlet from the river maybe? Name of the town is Falkenberg. Edit: I dont know why the two last pic´s looks blurry, or out of focus? If i look at them off-line, they´re sharp. Something may happen when uploading them to the forum maybe?
