  1. I will be in Hamburg in the beginning of May and again early June (riding my bicycle down the Elbe river). I might be able to hop over there for an airshow...it would certainly be awesome.
  2. Any possibility that you can get them to change the date to sometime in May while I am over there?
  3. Absolutely. Need to figure out shipping but I do have a couple of boxes around that should be perfect. I will separate the water cooler from the motherboard to make it easier. Let me know in PM what your address is so I can find a price for shipping.
  4. Didn't know you wanted one, I have an i7 3930x w/16gb ram with self contained water cooler that I ran at 4.5 that you could have had for postage.
  5. Sorry for butting in gents; thought I might be able to help. I have been testing a Dserver hosted on one of my gaming computers in the Man cave. I started flying again with the guys using your public TS and offered to host as I have the extra computers to spare. We usually have anywhere from 4-12 pilots per night. The usual suspects; AP, CaptJack, etc Hosting a BoX server is almost exactly like hosting our old RoF server, the interface is the same but the mission editor seems to have lots more features. As for server management; you can set it up to auto rotate or choose one to load from a saved list on the server. So you can upload the new mission at any time and use a remote login screen to change the mission when you are ready for it. All fairly easy. There are some great missions that you can borrow/edit for your use out there. I recommend Coconut's dynamic campaign mission. I am not very good at creating missions, although I do know the basics. I am sure those of you who have been making missions for 1946 can pick it up pretty easy. I am sure Roger can set up server space like he did for us when we were flying RoF. Hope this helps, if you want to check out what we are playing you can log into my server "Propnut" with the usual DD password.
  6. As a long time RoF pilot I have to say the idea of using the RoF engine in WWII excites me. I have never been a fan of the business model, although I have spent much more on this game than any other over the years it really has been reasonable compared to the cost of buying a new game every couple of months. I can see myself buying a spitfire, ME109, ME110, etc when they are on sale.
  7. Let me know if you need any help.
  8. Which one? Here is the one that I made for AP Hill: http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/9235-custom-roll-out-flight-control-panel/ And a flight control box that I made and then sold on SimHQ (for a loss). http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/10008-got-bored-and-created-this/ and here is my roll-out simpit desk: http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/8345-and-now-for-something-completely-irrelevant/
  9. Thank you Gentlemen, my Mechwarrior Online addiction has kept me away but I do still check the forums on occasion to stay up to date. And I am still active in the DD vs GIAP SEOW campaign on Sunday nights (9pm EST). With my new birthday present I expect that I will be a good deal more distracted in future: My shiny new Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus
  10. That commercial is from 1989...
  11. Hmmm...considering the email said that Captain Jack had posted "Tribute to the Beaver" this is not exactly what I was expecting...and certainly not the type of beaver I was thinking of at all.
  12. I think in this case the "Honda" of the submarine world This is the Harley of the submarine world David The Harley of the submarine world?
  13. Perhaps with today's fuel crisis you should consider an economical subcompact Japanese import?
  14. Hi Tom, You computer is first rate, you would not see a huge improvement by upgrading. I doubt that there is very much wrong with your PC, at the very very worst perhaps the motherboard has an issue but that is a fairly cheap fix (50.00-100.00). I am betting on an issue with either the memory or the SSD (more toward the SSD). Did you try removing it and installing windows on one of the large hard drives? Anyway, I will PM you my phone number (I think I did before when I made you the button box). Give me a call and we will see what can be worked out (that is if your son does not come up with the fix). You are fairly close so shipping it over here or even meeting in Lansing some evening for dinner would not be a big deal. David
  15. I have the G930 love the rig, very handy to walk around the house to get a drink and still be in communications with the group. I never tilt my mic up, always use the mute button. Good info though, thanks for the heads up! David
  16. Good call Rog, there are several threads showing Avast Antivirus causing this issue as well. Most recommend installing the free Windows Antivirus instead.
  17. Quick update: Your DxDiag shows that you are using a SSD hard drive. There is a known issue with these drive causing BSOD and constant crashes ( with some, not all) with windows 7 (yes, even after it has been installed for a long time. Has to do with the number of boots, or some such). A firmware update is required. Here is a bit of information on the issue: http://www.techsuppo...sod-644677.html You might check with the manufacture of your model and see if there is a firmware upgrade for it.
  18. Hi AP, I have several questions for you if you don't mind. When you reformatted did the process report any issues with the hard drive? Before reinstalling windows did you run CHKDSK? If so were there errors reported at that time? If there were did you run CHKDSK again until there were no errors reported? Other causes for the ntoskrnl.exe driver to crash (which is causing the BSOD as reported by your memory dump) are memory errors. Have you run any memory test programs yet? Have you tried to remove all but one memory card and have you tried placing that card in different slots? Some memory brands have had issues (even long after initial installation) that have to do with bios updates. An update in Windows could cause a conflict with certain memory (or any hardware for that matter) which require a simple bios update of that hardware. Are you loading the Nvidia GPU driver each time, does it crash before that driver is loaded or after? Lets get this thing fixed. David
  19. I had heard that they are very fragile, sorry to hear that you are having issues. As others have mentioned, I would bet that there is a wire disconnected along the circuit. The positive flows first through a resistor, then in and out of each LED before returning to the negative wire. Any of those connections could have a broken solder joint. I actually made several Track Clip Pro type clips, which plug into a USB port. They work very well, even if they do look a bit "homemade". Hope you find the issue. David
  20. Neighbors alfalfa, he is a dairy farmer. The barns are all ours though. My Honda Element is parked in front of my laboratory where I make all my little toys that go...BOOM!
