  1. Last part of Mallorca Golf Trip. And last course to be played, Poniente. Also one of the oldest courses on the island. Before entering the golf course we had a beer and a hot sandwich. "Where is my beer"? A Spanish Pedro with his dog watching all crazy golfers. One really felt you were on the country side. Animals all over the place. Like I said.. Last day just taking it easy, some shopping, photos, a few beer. Sheers Swep
  2. Here are some more pic´s from Mallorca. One thing Germans do, is good tasting beer. One old Majorcan traition is handicraft. Especially in clay. It is close to easter. Poerto de Soller. The willage and harbour. Third course to play was Son Mutaner. They claim to be one of the 3 top corses on the island. I agree. Some years ago this course was not open for everyone, only if you stayed on a 5 star hotel connected to the course. This olive tree must be over 1000 years old. Next day a road trip to the mountains. The highest peek is around 1.500 meters. Used to be an old Nato base. Our rental car, a small Fiat something. Not that many horse power but ok for parking lol. Yes, the Spaniards are driving like crazy! The road was actually closed, but what the heck... Bar was closed too... Fourth course we played was Golf Park Sontido. A Jack Nicholas designed course with a huge amount of bunkers and pretty wide fairways. Bermuda grass. The weather wasn´t excellent, low clouds and a tiny bit of rain the first holes. The bunkers were huuuge! I think some water is missing in the hazards. One of the ugliest club houses I have ever seen. "Pink Bunker"! End of part 2. To be continued...
  3. Me and a golf playing friend flew to Mallorca for 11 days of playing golf trying hitting the ball and just doing nothing (exploring where to buy the cheapest wines and beers)the days between. We flew with Norwgian, a low fair company, from Copenhagen and paid about 150 Euro each including flight, golf bags and luggage. Extras were 180 km trip to/from Malmoe, parking 11 days and train to/from Copenhagen airport. We had great luck since the weather has been terrible all spring but after we arriwed the tempeture got higher every day. Nights around 14-16 and day time 23 at highest. Fortunately we have air condition that also serve as a heater when cold inside. The schedule was; first day taking it easy buying nescesarry stuff for breakfust etc. having a couple of beers on an outside restaurang, buing some drinks for the evening. Next day playing golf. Next day a road trip to a neighbour willage, drinking a couple beer and so on... We played 5 different courses. Two of them I had played before. The golf courses had of course been suffering from the late spring and there was some empty spaces between the grass tufts. Some corses were all yellow since the grass hadn´t started to sprout yet. I think it was depending on what kind of grass they use. Bermuda grows slower and need higher tempeture to sprout. Enough talking, here are some pics which I took with my new camera I bought since I did not want to bring my big and heavy one. I found a Panasonic Lumix Z1X (ZR1) in a photo store near were we stayed. I thought it was a bit expensive and started to haggle off the price. I got a 4Gb memory card for free so it was a deal. Lots of pic´s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nowegian Boeing 737/800 pretty spacy inside and large enough to fly pretty steady. At 11.500 meters flying over the Alps (through a dirty window). The house were we stayed. Every plant there was, were in full blossom. First having a beer, or two... ....and then finding something to drink for the evening. Buying breakfast and some food. Maby some more beer. March is orange season. Second golf day (no pics from first day since I hadn´t bought my camera yet) we played Son Vida. One of the oldest courses of Mallorca. Many years ago they played Spanish Open here, and Mr. Ballestersos won the tournament. One could explain the course as an area of grass surronded by luxury villas. After 9 holes I had a sandwitch. Rolf is playing his third shot on a par 5. I hit the green in 3 as well. Easy par. With all slow playing germans in front of us the sun almost set before we came in. The round took a horrendos 5 hours and 20 minutes to play! I would say, without bragging, we are playing on hcp 12 and hcp 9, and felt we were the best and fastest players around. It actually telling more about the other players... End of part 1. To be continued.

  13. Weather update from my home town. It started snowing, again, yesterday, it is snowing today and it will continue tomorrow. Feckin` snow... Found an oliphant covered with snow in a nearby forrest. Poor animal...
  14. Agree with Kimo. My father took me to Bromma airport in the 60´s and I´d watch those beauties for hours. Hurts to shoot down a C-47.
  15. Choose fullscreen and start zooming and panning with your mouse. Pretty impressive I say. http://www.dresden-26-gigapixels.com/dresden26GP
  16. Impressive! This pilot was suspended from flying due to almost nocking the heads of some paratroupers. Swedish airforce goes low showing off..
  17. Sorry to hear mate. Hope you are able to move back soon. Have you tried skiing?
  18. Thanks for your reply mates. I´ve contacted CH again since I think it is kind of an aligment problem. When pushing axactly on the middle of the pedals they move very smoth. Pushing off centre the slightest the problem occure. Mostly on the left pedal. Maybe a batch of pedals with the same problem since it differs around 10 between those I got. Swep
  19. ~S~ chaps. I have used my CH pedals for about 3 weeks and discovered that when moving the left pedal about two thirds I can clearly feel an increased pressure on the pedal (rollers?) and also clearly hear when it happens. It is not a big issue during flying but when taxing and take off on the runway - when this small increased pressure suddenly release and the rudder yanks to the left, I´m finding my self on the side of the runway. I contacted the supplier and they sent me a new pair of rudder pedals right away. Now I´ve been testing them and I´ve got the same thing happen again! On exactly same spot! It is not as much as before but still... Before I ask them for a new set I like to hear with Dogz that owns CH pedals, if you have the same issue? When using my pedals I´m pushing with my toes only, or one half of the foot maby. Swep
  20. Salute Shadrach! Welcome to the Dogz.
