Hello Seagoon and welcome to the pound. Yes you have stumbled upon a great group of guys to fly with where our number one rule is to have fun. Our flying schedule for GBS is Tuesday and Sunday. We also play Tank Crew on a Saturday evening. Start times around 19:30 UK time. Where are you based? We have guys from the UK, Europe, North America, Canada and even Australia! Can I ask how you found out about the DangerDogz?

Although I downloaded it I don't think I have actually ever played it, so all good from me. Is there anyway to put a message up on the server when (and if) people join to notify them of the fact that it will be being taken down permanently from say 2 weeks from now? Also does this give us the potential / capacity to put up a public GBS server? We could switch between Tank Crew only and perhaps running flying co-ops like in the old 46' days? Might attract a few people our way? Salute FT for all your work in keeping Clod going all this time with very little support.

I have just got some in game recording sorted out, nothing up to BluBears standard but hopefully gives an idea of what goes on during Saturday Night...

We are flying GBS tonight if you have the details and want to join us. I should be on Teamspeak from about 7:15/7:30 Co-ops should start around 8:30 but there will be a dogfight map up before that so come on in when ever you can.

Hey, Welcome. Your nickname is a bit of a mouthful so happy to go with DD_Edgar? As Crash says, we do not take our selves too seriously most of the time, but can switch it up a bit if needed. We have flyers that just about keep the plane the right way up to others that can tell you the day a Spitfire was made from a picture of a row of rivets. As I said in my post we fly GBS on Tuesdays and Sundays, DCS on Monday and Thursdays, Tank Crew on Friday and Saturday. Take part as much as you want, the only thing we would say is to respect other squad mates (well at least until you get to know them) and if you sign up for an event and then can not make it, just drop us a post, we know real Life V1.0 does get in the way of winning a war! We have guys that fly in VR, and with TrackIR, we use all sorts of Joysticks and Rudder pedals, if you have an issue we have someone that can solve it! As Crash said one of our techies will drop you a message about Teamspeak passwords etc. Welcome to the pound, you have found a great bunch of guys. I look forward to flying with you on Tuesday for dogfights and co-ops. Cheers Friar

Salute, As part of the "Sturmovikfest" event that is currently going on over on the IL2 forums, one of the guys I have been talking to, LachenKrieg has announced a Multi-Crew tank event aimed at attracting Non Tank Crew owners to have a go at the sim with a chance to win some free copies. The details of the event are here; https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/71314-sturmovikfest-2021-tankmulticrew-contest-may-2/?tab=comments#comment-1084611 It takes place this Sunday (a planned P38 night ) but from 17:00-18:30 GMT, so 18:00 to 19:30 current UK time. I understand that the date and timing are not ideal but I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in taking part in the event? (I have posted to LachenKrieg that the P38 event will take first call with our guys but wondered if we could "squeeze" it in before?) For those of us that own Tank Crew, we would take the role of Driver / Commander with the NON Tank Crew owner being the gunner. It is also permitted for a crew to made up of both Tank Crew Owners Are there any NON Tank Crew owning dogs that would like to have a look? (with a chance of winning a free copy) and make up a crew with me? It would be nice to have someone I know in my tank with me!

Think we may have found our tank commander! well done sir!

Just had a thought, should we try it without Sid's icon mod first to make sure there is nothing funny going on there before I log it? I think we should try it with icons disabled on the server and also in "stock" mode (icons on). @Sid Could you perhaps test it on your next weekday tank session please? Or is there a few people around this afternoon/early evening to try it with me?
-
Ok, thanks I will log it on the IL2 forum.
-
sorry FT what does that mean? 1. Could you the see the number of the other tanks through the gunsight? Yes/No 2. Could you see the numbers of the other tanks when going to externals Yes/No 3. Could you see the number of your own tank when going to externals Yes / No - NO @Painless could you answer the same questions please?
-
Did any of the Commanders have the same issue? No one said anything so I assume that when you has the hatch open and were standing up you could see the numbers on the other tanks? @FT and Painless - Could you see the numbers when looking through the gunsights? It was only when you went to external that none of the tanks had their numbers? or was it only your own tank that you could not see?
-
@Sid asked a question last night about gunners not being able to see the numbers on other tanks? Could you explain more please? Did anyone else have problems seeing the numbers? If there is an issue I will log in on the IL2 forum. Did you get them pre selected when you selected your spawn point on the "Getting Ready" and "Phase 1" missions?
-
Welcome back Squawk - You have been allocated a Panzer IV and number 12
-
Yep, you will be fine with the new numbering system so no skins required. Just need to select stock white skin and add your number it is very easy. I am just about to test being able to pre load these as well.

Yep I realise that now doh! also the fuel guage! I must have been blind all this time!
