Finally read "The Corvette Navy" by Charles Lamb. Really well done. Gives a nice look into the birth of the escort fleet and is basically a compilation of well-written accounts from different junior officers on various Canadian corvettes. Well worth picking up. After I give this back to Jensenpark he may loan it out again, if you ask nice

It's been a while. How do the RsOF compare? The footage shows the pilots getting 3 shots in with each pass, allowing to correct the fall of the shot. I don't remember getting that chance in game....Maybe I was going too fast. Women used to acuse me of that often.

(It seems to be in the same place in time & space as Knights of the Sky) It looks damn good. http://eng.pt-boats.net/index/ Look under "Files" for screenies and d/l the promo video - worth the look just to see what they have done with water. And you will be able to play online.....although I have this fear that the game log will read "June 3 1942 Continued patrol. It has 6 days since last enemy contact. The Coxswain's wound from his fall has festered and I fear we shall need to return to base to seek medical attention. June 4 1942 Continued patrol. No enemy contact. Blew water pump on #3 engine - unable to repair. Continuing patrol with reduced power on 2 engines. June 5 1942 Finished patrol and am returning to base for refuel and rearm. Coxswain's condition worse. Unidentified contact on horizon spotted 1730hrs. Unable to close distance due to reduced power. Lost in fog 15 minutes later. " And so on. All in real time. Maybe...maybe not Here's a few screenies......

Very interesting. The swing-wing Spit would have been an interesting inclusion in '46 as would the multi-turreted Spit. Thanks for sharing.
