When I first installed my second card, I thought the same thing as you re frame rates. But when I started looking at IQ the difference in Image Quality between one card and two, I was finally convinced of the merits of Crossfire. No tearing or any of that distortion you sometimes get on concrete runways. I bought both cards on Ebay for around $100 each. I have made up my mind that in future, I am always going to be a year behind in technology. That is when you really get the bargoons. I'll see if I can get Quazi to drop by and post his thoughts.

Not sure I agree with that C. G. You may not get better frame rates but the I.Q.is so much better with a second card.

This may be one of the stupidest questions Iv'e ever asked but why do you need the 4.09 beta? If you are going to install the mods, just install right over 4.07m and that will automatically include 4.08 and 4.09 beta.

I could be wrong but I think the no dvd crack solves this problem. It is in our vault 4.34mb under patches.

I just hope someone will come along to explain it to me. Maybe some of you guys could show it to your wives and see what they think.

Holy jeez Snacko. I really loved that.............. and the music was too much.

There are three shelves in the bedroom, with hundreds and hundreds of cute, cuddly teddy bears carefully placed in rows, covering the entire wall! It was obvious that he had taken quite some time to lovingly arrange them and she was immediately touched by the amount of thought he had put into organizing the display. There were small bears all along the bottom shelf, medium-sized bears covering the length of the middle shelf, and huge, enormous bears running all the way along the top shelf. She found it strange for an obviously masculine guy to have such a large collection of Teddy Bears. She is quite impressed by his sensitive side, but doesn't mention this to him.

Indeed I do mactav. Jedi I think a single room was around £70 a night including breakfast and a quick feel of the Polish waitress. If memory serves me correctly a double room went for £40. Then you would have lunch and dinner on top of that. Not a cheap event but it is only for a couple of days. There was no cost to get in to the RAF Museum at Hendon.

Not sure I would advise dropping form a 4870 to a 4850.

Don't want to be spoiler Snacko but we do have a policy of only allowing 18+ year olds to join the Dogz. Every time we have relaxed this rule it hasn't worked out. He can fly with us as a guest but he won't have full privilleges.

You have to have a Crossfire board to be able to run two cards Tom.

From what I have seen on the UBI Boards, this seems to be a fairly common problem with some of the 4870's. Our own B16 Enk has one and posted this: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/49310655/m/7331004107?r=9291018307#9291018307 I still think some of the newer cards are wasted on Il2. If you are running other games then yes. I am running two X1950XTX's in Crossfire and I think they are perfect for Il2.
