    Switchbox Mk.3

Enthusiasm? On a more serious note, all the components have been purchased from ebay and my local Maplin store. Aside from that, a bit of light drilling and soldering and Robert is your mother's brother. Jabo P.S. Unless you're asking me to make one for you that is...
  2. Very nice Sweperton.
  3. Well, it'l be good to go down there again. I'm hoping to make Shoreham myself. I did read the rumblings about Snafu, but it seems little more than conjecture at present. It's an important airframe to TFC, but if someone were to offer the right money....

    Switchbox Mk.3

Indeed. The box contains a Bodnar board and a whole mass of wires, the 9 pin connector is to allow the rudder pedals to connect to the Bodnar and therefore allows the axes to be mapped in game. I am considering changing some of the switches for buttons, but have yet to find any I'm happy with. There are a surprising number of functions which can be covered here as is though. Lighting for example - that's three, Bomb-bay doors? Canopy open/close, track record, engine selectors...the list goes on. Use it in DCS and I don't have enough switches! @Arthur - By using something like this, you could do away with the stick and attach the throttle to the bodnar with the 9-pin and then map the axes in game. Jabo.
  7. Some pictures of the MkIII switchbox project including new rudder pedal connector A few things still need to be completed, particularly the remaining switches need to be installed as does the elevator trim pot. All the switches are SPDT type mapped onto a keypress using SVMapper. Simples! Thanks to FT for his old pedals. They seem to be working fine in their new home!
  8. As the last of the Dogz are now on their way home, I'll unpin this thread and let it fade into history with the others. On the other hand, stay tuned for the next exciting instalment! Jabo
  9. So that's (nearly) that for another Flying Legends, the toys have been put away and various Dogz have wound their way home to all corners of our scepter'd isle. Some of the highlights for me? Stephen Grey's last performances in the Bearcat, Horsemen, 2 Gladiators, Spitfire and Buchon tailchase and many many more. There are pictures coming, but it's too hot here to start messing around with them now, I'll post some up later. Thanks to everyone who turned up for making this one of the best Legends yet and for those who couldn't, well, roll on next year. Jabo
  10. Over 1000 Arthur, I can lend you a 32gb card if you need it. Just post it back when you're done
  11. It's a bit like colditz without the charm Arthur. Oh, and yes, yes, yes, yes & probably

  18. The participants list and running order is up on the tfc website and unless I'm ver much mistaken this is shaping up to be a vintage Legends. AND there's a tbm on the list!!! Avenger anyone?
  19. Think we may have found our Saturday evening venue! Good call Chris!
  20. Smartass.
  21. BBC weather - Sunny spells for Saturday and Sunday, Temperatures may touch 30degC on Sunday afternoon. Winds 7-8mph from the East. Take-direction towards the motorway perhaps? Could give a different perspective on proceedings from our usual spot on the tank bank.
  22. Rumour has if that the third Spitfire in the Horseman line-up will be TFC's MkVb EP120. Probably on the basis of no truth/evidence/what some bloke said in the pub whatsoever. Jabo
  23. A thread for reporting on Fenrir, Blubear, Painless and Jabo's trip to York to see the choo-choos. Words and pictures to come. May be an aircraft-free zone...Unless I accidentally go to Waddington on the way.
  24. Looking great Mr P. I believe there are one or period touches to come? Especially like your tribute to Jim. Very apt
  25. It would be nice to think we could get some warm, sunny weather in JULY!
