  1. There is a new member map chaps and some of you are not on it. Could we all check it out and have a look please?
  2. Even if funds are ok I think we should have a drive for some extra and allow Mr Enkel to take Mrs Enkel out for a meal as a thankyou, perhaps Ft and a plus 1 as well for all the hosting and effort in keeping the dogz flying (not as a foursome of course - we are not paying his airfair!) It is getting near to my birthday and I useually chip in around this time, so I will start the plate off......
  3. £15 puts your name on the fin i saw your post on Iceland
  4. Hi, Do yourself a favour, grab a coffee and kinck back for 45 minutes and watch the attached video by Chris Harris at the Bloodhound land speed record head quarters. It contains stuff about motering and flying demonstrating the G-forces the driver will go through. Oh...and if you have some spare cash, why not donate and get your name on the car.....I have... 5. How are we for funds? I know somw do regular donations but it should not be just left to them. Do I need to ask for the cup to be passed around (and no shirt buttons or fair ground ride tokens please this time!)
  6. Many thanks chaps, much appreciated.
  7. Salute Dogz Some of you older members may remember me, I used to fly a lot but then real life and (cough) other distractions took my focus away from playing IL2. I now need to re-commit my self back to the squad. My flying time is still going to be very limited but I need some kind soul to teach me to fly again and, wait for it, learn to fly in Clod. Is there anyone that would be willing to give me perhaps an hour or two on a Friday evening (that is about the only day I can say that I can ring fence the time) to get me up to speed with Clod? A session perhaps taking a small step / unit of knowledge so as not to take too much of your time? Cheers Friar
  8. salute mate, hope you have a great day @all Dogz Sorry for not being around hardly at all recently I have had a run of holidays and family stuff just recently plus Alex has a job on a Sunday which has meant moving family Sunday dinner times to the evening I will be back and having seen the latest clod footage might even be tempted to put some time in to learn it Now there's a shock! Anyway it's Jabo's day Cheers and happy birthday

  20. If staying in the centre of London you are actually better off using the tube (train that goes through tunnels under the ground) - not stuff that comes in a tube do you know where you are staying? @painless / fruitbat /sid - could be a friday night race night at my place and then travel into london together?
  21. My X52Pro is nerfed following a windows 10 update yesterday. Looking around tinternet I found this..... After the major Windows 10 update (build 1511) my Saitek x52 Pro didn't work anymore. I tried to reinstall, but the installer just hangs and did not detect the X52 being plugged in. After a lot of trial and error I found a fix... Try this short version first: - Connect X52 - Open device manager -> look for an USB input device with an ! - Right click: update driver - Choose "search on my PC" and then "let me pick" (2nd option) -> you get a list of 2 compatible devices - Now select the 1st option "USB input device" or something similar NB: NOT the 2nd one with USB X52 in the name!!! - Device should work now... If this does not work: this is the long version which was the first way I found to get it working again: - Plugin the X52 - Go to device manager and delete the X52 and USB devices with an ! sign (warning/not installed correctly) - Restart your PC - Unplug your X52 - Run the installer (with the latest beta drivers for W10) - When the screen pops up with the instruction to plugin your X52 -> plug it in... - Just let the installer run (with the NEXT button greyed out) and go to device manager - Right click on the X52 device and select update driver - Choose "search on my PC" and then "let me pick" (2nd option) -> you get a list of 2 compatible devices - Now select the 1st option "USB device" or something similar NB: NOT the 2nd one with USB X52 in the name!!! - Directly after this W10 detects your X52 and you can select NEXT in the installer - Install will continue and finish correctly The right selection of the USB device (AND NOT X52..) is important. If you select the X52 line you get a critical error and it stops.. At first the problem returned after a complete power down and restart in the morning of Windows. After reading about problems with USB I disabled FAST START and this seems a permanent fix for me. It seems that Windows starts too fast for USB devices to report themselves and to be enabled.. You can find this option here: Energy management -> behaviour of on/off buttons -> Fast start is greyed out, but if you select "choose options which are not available right now" you can disable it. It solved the problem for me (hopefully permanently), hope it helps others too! I reported this problem to Mad Catz...but maybe it is more a Microsoft problem... Cheers, I am just about to go through the process now........... Friar
  22. Poor saleman Nick...Your retort should have been .."so you now have room then........" While I am on I have storage box full of "World Aircraft Information Files" that were given to me. I have a folder with all the IL2 planes and the rest are in the loft These are also heading for the dump unless.................Arthur........... How about someone takes the first one for 99p and I will send the rest weekly for just £4.99
