good fun flying there last night with some of the guys- next time tho I think we will go to the dogz ts and try to work better as a team - we left poor old toner to get slaughtered in his bomber but we were pretty much tied down to the base in the second mission. big thanks to bbloke for trying to cover my tail- it was hard work last night and in fact this last week has been a mare for me on warclouds - I have tried to mix it up a bit more to try to improve my kill ratio and it aint worked too well. I havnt hit shit and my survival rate has plummited - either they are getting better or Im getting old. I think Ill have to go back to my high stalking plan- at least that way I live longer anyway thanks for joining me guys and I hope we can do it again - or team up on zvw if you want some nights S delta

a fine film and fitting tribute. BTW A dogz had a very minor part in helping out.The story of malta has always interested me and I was able to help out birdbrain when he was making the maps and campaign that were used in the film. He requested info and I sent him a book I had. The film has some license on the facts. There were more than the 3 biplanes available - around 6 were constructed from 15 in crates left by HMS glorious as a reserve when she served in the med. These formed the Hal Far wing. The other remaining planes were salvaged as parts and spares to keep these 4 in the air. The pilots were a group of volunteers from raf and fleet air arm , none were trained fighter pilots and Flt Lt Burgess was a personnel assistant to the Air Commander when he volunteered.

Pooka - the only drivers I update regularly are my video drivers- and even then I have been known to roll back to older ones . If you have an older video card then the driver updates might not be any good for you as they are optimised for newer models. If you are not having any problems then I would not touch my sound card drivers, mobo drivers etc, however if you are having crashes to desktop then this is a possible cause of conflict If it is programs then again if they are working fine Id be tempted to leave well alone , or go to the programs home site and read the info on the update prior to installing- most reputable programs will detect an older version and give uninstall instructions or install over the top by themselves just my thoughts mate S

the latest cats are just brilliant for ATI cards - best Iv ever had . I can spot dots pretty easy now. I did lose some fps but it is worth it

guys last night and today I was kicked from warclouids due to high ping - using pingplotter the trouble is the hop across the atlantic to a washington server -pings and packet loss are spiking there - is there any way to avoid this server and pick an alternative ? Im sur I used to go via a new york server previously - now Im going scotland-london-paris-washington-chicago when I go to zeke vs wildcat I go via new york and its ok help I need my warclouds fix - its fuggin driving me nuts , Im on a steak just now and want to play

the clip wings have a higher roll rate but slower turn rate mate. they were designed to try to counter roll rate of FW 190s

I grew to love the p-47 during our SEOW with 352nd . I practiced a lot with it and used it on warclouds- its really tough, stable and carries a load well. it dives and rolls really well and above 7k is supreme as a fighter so the fat girl has a lot going for her. Im moving to the tempest now as this has the 4 cannon and is very fast below 6k where most fights take place on warclouds - the only thing wrong with it is the stupid rear view
