Everyone storing one of those weapons are trained. The weapons are also sealed and inspected regularly. The ammo is to use traveling to the barracks/rendezvous point in case of invasion and if you break a seal without authorization, you're in a world of hurt. It's not for home protection. Our "homefront" also stores AG3's and full gear at our homes. Weapon and ammo is sealed, I know because I snuck up on the attic as a kid and "examined" daddy's gear..... That they have them probably has a lot to do with why they don't need to fight a war to defend themselves. Proponents including churches and womens groups had argued the plan was a way to reduce domestic violence and Switzerland's high rate of firearms suicide. A lot of the restrictions we now have in Canada. The rate of suicide or domestic violence hasn't changed a bit. They just use different tools.
