Hosting with UP 2.0 or HSFX

Never used to have any problems hosting, anyone could join by my IP.

Since 2.0 nobody can connect. Same for Trout, can't connect to him nor him to me. The port was forwarded from before, the game is still IL2fb.exe

Has to be something simple I'm missing.

Have you tried shutting down both of your firewalls for a quick test?

:o

I wouldn't drop any firewall for even a split-second, I've had PCs infected in 30 secs with trojans.

Hmm... I've done that several times for 5 minutes or so to identify a problem, and fix it.

Supposedly it is.

I quizzed him about his router settings and client ip as well last night before I left.

At the time he had not looked into that deep, neither had trout.

They were both able to connect to me hosting from Win7, my game is still located in a separate drive, dual booting Win7 and XP so all I had to do was tell the Windows firewall in Win7 to allow.

It asked if it should the first time I started the game.

But I was not able to connect to either of them. With Win7 or my XP OS

It's for sure on their end.

you may need to update the ip address that the dns host is holding. i had the same problem after not hosting for a while.

i found a box that said

update your ip xx.xxx.xx.xx (stored) with this one yy.yyy.yyy.yyyy (current) i clicked yes and people could connect.
