Oh well, I'll wait until someone smarter than me post a "How to make it go" instruction. Also, there will be another download for additional skins that I have not seen a link for yet. Okie Posted December 27, 2007 Report Share Posted December 27, 2007 Ok, I think I did it right. I just unzipped it to my game folder and let it overwrite any files/folders. Started up game ok and had the beta version on splash screen but have not actually given it a try. Defiantly heed BG's advice and make a backup copy of your game folder. I got my downloads from Mission 4 today and they were incredibly fast over 1000 kb a second. I'll get a link and post it here shortly. You need two downloads. BadAim Posted December 28, 2007 Report Share Posted December 28, 2007 I just renamed my copy IL2 409 and unzipped the files into that then renamed the exe to IL2 409 and sent a copy to desktop. Bada Bing! two games two versions. And BTW, the Slovakia map is freakin awesome: I just flew around all night last night. and the 75k sight distance is awesome to the tenth power......unfortunately it definitely bends my 7800GTX's back, I fear what will happen with other planes on a populated map. Modify your conf.ini string in the [Render_OpenGL] section to use this mode: LandGeom=3 (new mode is ON) LandGeom=2 (back to normal mode).
