As most of you guys know, I am fascinated by pond digging. A friend of mine recently purchased 60 acres and decided to expand a small pond on his property. The ground is quite different from mine. It is predominately blue clay and there are no natural springs. He depends on spring run off to fill the pond and periodically pumps water from a nearby river to keep it topped up during the summer. The following pictures were shot over a period of two days.

Bg, that's not a pond, it's a bloody lake (without water but a lake just the same)...

And two diggers!!!

You've found some obscure Canadian law whereby you get tax deductions and grants for having bodies of water laying around.

At least you've finally recognised it wasn't just bodies that attracted the grants and easements....
