Dubbo
I know most of you blokes know of the WW1 "Knights of the Sky" game due to be released at some time during the future. It will be a stand alone game based on the IL-2 engine. http://www.gennadich.com/lang/en/id/69/ My question is how many of you will be interested enough to give it a bash? Having grown up on Biggles and more recently, the WW1 novels by Derek Robinson, I'm chomping at the bit to have a go at this. Look at the detail in the village. Fruit stands. Wow. One of the others has clotheslines with clothes hanging. Pretty cool. So who's gonna have a go? This will be the ultimate T&B, providing it's good. Zeus-cat
I've never been a big fan of World War I games and I have no idea who Buggles is, but since this is based on the IL-2 engine I will definitely give it a shot.
Dubbo
The guys from the Commonwealth should know Biggles. Unfortunately our US comrades missed out. For those who don't know http://www.biggles.info/ His flying career was an interesting one..........

Zeus-cat
I think I have seen a few Biggles books that aren't on that list. Biggles goes to Bangkok and makes a new friend Biggles gets a funny looking rash Biggles goes to Hospital and gets a shot Biggles goes to China and makes a really good friend Biggles has trouble using the loo Biggles goes to Hospital and gets a stronger shot Biggles goes to Malaysia and makes a very special friend Biggles wiggly falls off Biggles can't make any new friends At the start of Word War II the French had their own version of Biggles - Francois. Francois Goes to War Francois learns to speak German It was a very short series!

Dubbo
You will need to buy a disk or 2 and it's due out in the fall 2006. Given that the website calls it "fall" I am assuming they mean in North America, so after Sept maybe.
Redeye
I have no idea who Buggles is, The Buggles were a one hit wonder with the first video played on MTV called "Video Killed the Radio Star" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buggles
Cold_Gambler
Most definitely count me in- I'm really looking forward to this one. It looks very promising. Every Thursday a new update comes out, better than the previous week's. I think Fall of 2006 is optimistic, though. As a complete guess I'd say maybe Christmas '06 release date. There's a lot of work left to do, even if they are cranking out new aircraft models every week.
Dubbo
If you missed "Biggles" may I suggest Derek Robinson's WW1 series "War Story" "Goshawk Squadron" & " Hornets Sting" to get you in the mood. I have yet to track down a copy of "Hornets Sting" but the others are fantastic and are responsible for re-firing my interest in WW1 aerial warfare. I wonder, given that WW1 pilots were not issued parachutes, if the game will still give you the option to bale rather than burn to death, or even shoot yourself. Enforcer57
I know I sure will. I loved rowans sim, but cant get it to run on win xp. was great, even if you could get tripes to fly with half the top wing gone and you could hear screams of agony in the air....was kinda neat though. Birds would fly outta the tress when you flew over them on approach. dunno when ill hve time to fly it though. At least we probably wont hve to learn many new key commands.
