In 2005, an 83 year-old World War II pilot is surprised to see 16mm footage of his 1944 Spitfire crash for the first time.

Narrator has a bit annoying voice, but what their doing is awsome

their idea and plan is sound! Love it. One of those Spitfires is at the Dayton Airforce museum. I got a picture of it somewhere.

That narrator sure has an irritating voice... Very nice to watch otherwise though....

I absolutely loved that video, the recall that man had and how he recognised instantly the footage.....from over 60 years ago, thanks TOAD great post.

As said, awesome. The look on his face when he realised it was his landing, and the humility when he asked if he could get a copy for his kids.

 

Such bravery those guys had.
