  1. Finally found the "issue" with that weird truck icon on the map in Dover, the one with the yellow/orange explosive marker on top of it... It turned out to be a Balloon Winch. Never knew I put it in there... changed it to a Barrage Balloon, and there ya go... I know it's not really relevant, and not really worth mentioning here, but it had been bugging me for ages ... and I am happy it's now been fixed. (It's not easy to find a truck, when you are looking for one, and in the mission builder you are looking at something that does not look like a truck, it looks like a Barrage Balloon... amongst many others ... )
  2. No, not 'glorious Spitfire', just 'Spitfire', as for sure, Hurricane==Glorious !!
  3. Your review is all nice and good and impressive and shift. But massively incomplete, and thus rather irrelevant. 100% Agree, but: Where's your Spitfire? ?
  4. Well, lucky me, that code does not apply to Kuban
  5. For now, I will be steering clear of the mission editor. And will try and download coop missions, created by others...
  6. So, as I expect I will be doing some hosting, I folded, and bought Battle of Kuban... Thus, from now on, when I host - with Muds on - and there's a plane in there that you do not own, it's your problem, not mine. I feel só much better now!
  7. Only if the host owns the planes ... that's what I learned from it...
  8. Limited test I did: Host a coop with a Ju52 (that one should have a gunner seat ?) but the a/c was locked entirely (I do not own it). There was no gunner position to jump into... Then again, I would not know how it works, so basically, this is a useless post!
  9. No, it was not loud at all, the volume was fine, it just sounded as if: A) Your headset volume was a tad too high, making you speak louder B) You were simply very excited due to VR (and maybe other things that your Rift showed you that we could not see ) C) Your VR Experience made you shout, as well, that's what you do when you're in the cockpit of an old warbird, sitting behind a V12 engine ... Your mic volume was actually set too low, as when you'd been in a 1946 pit, we would have a hard time hearing you. Must say, it was kinda weird to hear you speak that way, normally you sound so quiet and controlled, and docile ?
  10. First Tuesday's Coop is in the BoX! And it was a success... well, I'd like to call it that anyways... After I'd found out one should not try and organize coop missions in subfolders. Well, unless one does lots of editing. It was nr. 234, generated from http://il2-expert.ru/en/Coop. Four the people in. Sid and Wingflyr in Mig3's and Crash and FT in IL2's. Set out to attack an airfield. We did. No icon on the map - oops - navigation was tricky, but not impossible. Killed stuff on the airfield, Wingflyr got 2x 109, Sid 1x. Unfortunately, the did not get to return home, both had Sauerkraut and Schnapps for dinner. They did keep the enemy away from us bombers just fine! I found my way home, landed. "You have landed" a message stated. Yeah, did not know that! Then we even got a lost Crash home, after an initial misreading of the map and surroundings, the secondary attempt was good: Crash was some 50km in enemy territory, a 180 direction change brought him home in the end! External Views were of value there Too bad three of the IL2 AI wingmen went missing in action. AA must've got them... No technical issues or mishaps there. My views were a bit 'stuttery', fps was good, but still some micro stuttering when looking around. Have not heard any of the clients speak about stutters or warps or similar wotsnots ... (Was a rather long one, I ran out of time hosting, Wingflyr took over with hosting a df map...) Good show, I did enjoy that! (And we did get Funflak to buy and download Stalingrad, I left TS before he got off the ground, but I bet assigning keys went just fine, and he's killed his share of 109's by now ... oh wait, I think on the DF they were flying for the Germans?)
  11. Yeah, saw it on the Internets ... Was thinkin' like "in't this really really I mean like really close to like Arthur?" Brilliant landing though, he got so close to a stall, that left wing dropping... fine pilot! Cool pilot too, from the interview(s)... shows you that pilots are human in the end, well at least one of 'm ...
  12. lol ... I do remember you as "Young Smash"... we had some talks back when you first joined, whether we should or should not enforce the minimum-age-rule we have ... Welcome back! (I've assigned the same access rights to your new user account as are present on the original one...)
  13. Thanks to Fenrir mentioning Artie having bumped/bounced on take off during our session last Thursday, finally found and fixed the rather annoying bug where one would be flying along nicely, and suddenly one's aircraft is being removed from midair ... POOF! That would always occur three minutes after one had landed. Makes sense, we do not want you to have tea and biscuits in cockpit. The mess! (Yes, that's the proper place to have those, apart from ground crew having to clean your pit). Artie bouncing meant the server probably thought he'd landed at take off. Somehow I've managed to add a test to the removal script, so it will only happen to AI aircraft... and within one minute now, not after three. Now you may think your a/c will stay on the field for like ever after you've landed, but no, unless you stay in the cockpit, once you press escape, your aircraft will be set to AI status, and then poofed after one minute. Disclaimer: only limited testing has been done, there's a good chance that during the mission running lots of blue ai aircraft occupy their home bases after having landed ... oh well, will deal with that once that happens...
  14. Hi B ... The Test server is an exact copy of the original one, but it's running on an entirely new server. That new server is going to replace the old one, in the end. Currently, we are checking if CloD runs just as nice (hopefully even nicer/better) on the new one as on the old one. So, it's a test situation for the server, not for CloD really. I do feel and understand the issue you are experiencing, and have been thinking about it, and how to 'change' the server so it will better suit the solo pilot. This is not really possible however, as the server was not designed to perform any specific role or scenario, it's just a bunch of different missions (159 at the moment) randomly launched... The steadily increasing number must've resulted in this change... I do not see it as 'development', as there is no direction in the changes made, there's no specific goal. It's more like an evolution... See here:
  15. May 5th, us Dutchies celebrate... each and every year.
  16. It's the Spit and P51D that I got. (Wrecked two Spitfires in yesterday's session) (But I am by no means anything to go by... I am not fond of Jets ... others are, very much so!)
  17. You're faster than I can read the manual... then again I'm on TS getting Sweper upgraded to Blitz Thanks!
  18. Coop Mission regenerator, needs registration there: http://il2-expert.ru/en/Coop Set some parameters, press 'Go', wait a bit, refresh page and you got a zip file to download, put its contents in Multiplayer/Coops and host!
  19. Not all, surely not all, no way, that'd be so messy! Which ones should I open?
  20. Earlier? Yeah, righto, how 'bout now? lol... Have we figured out a host yet? What do we even need/want? A mission statement?I've registered here: http://il2-expert.ru/en/Coop and can generate coops I also found out I can run/host a mission like that... whether anyone could join remains a mistery, for now ...
