    The program initially gives a correct reading of my CPU (a Phenom 9500 slightly overclocked) then both go down by half (both cpu speed and the multiplier), does anyone know why this would be happening?

    I cant even download the Win 7 RC due to some silly (and long) error: The dynamic link library MSVCP60.dll could not be found in the specified path C:\WINNT\DOWNLO~1;.;C:\WINNT\system;C:\WINNT;C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer;;C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT\System32\Wbem Would it be possible for someone to send me a disk with win7 on and I use a key that is available? (please) That is if this cannot be sorted.

    it seems my problem is that there is no 'NvcplUI.exe' which means no nvidia control panel (arrgghh the jaggies return), any help would be gratefully recieved (latest driver on Win2K).................and I also have a problem with my mic (which some might see as a bonus ) but thats for another day.

    AFAIK it makes no difference if you have more memory than 32bit Windows can handle as it just kind of ignores it, if the slowdown started after you got the new memory then its probable the stick is the issue. You might want to try taking the memory sticks out 1 at a time and see if that makes a difference.
