  1. I've got an officially licensed installation of XP, still ready to run, but I haven't started it in 2 months. As far as I know it's not an OEM one, and it's base is XP professional SP2. At the moment I have no need for a swap... I run Windows 7 now.... I can completely disable / delete my XP partition, and PM you the serial. Then you can try and see if it works... I wouldn't know for sure, but I guess Bill can only conclude in the end that some Dutch geezer took 2 months to move to the UK and got himself 'new' hardware in the process... would that work? (BTW, do you also want 2 Guillemot ForceFeedback sticks? They work fine with XP!) Oh, wait, I now see I bought it directly from Microsoft, and it's registered under my name... oh dear... How strange is that friend of yours? Hm, maybe not such a good idea, sorry...
  2. Yeah, saw that on TV this weekend, man, it must've sunk five times or so, I've seen it go down at least that many times...
  3. Formula1 Ferrari's(or in this case, Vormula1 Verrari's maybe?)
  4. Yeah, Sid, but still you're a lot closer to the cabinet than I am! )
  5. It's cool! And it's Big, but I don't think it's HUGE... it would be however, if that were the 1/24 Mossie Indeed, it is looking GOOD!
  6. "The Bomber Command Association, with the help of the Heritage Foundation, is raising funds to erect a permanent memorial in Central London to the 55,000 bomber aircrew killed in WW2." http://www.rafbomber...m/memorialfund/
  7. Nice results there Rox!
  8. I'm sure, or am I?
  9. Why not ask for a spare set of tires? Put them on an axis, put some weight on it, warm them up from the bottom.... slowly and steadily.... be patient and watch... and watch... and watch out to stop just in time... Oh wait, they're probably hollow on the inside? Hm...
  10. Very well done! Gets to look so real, up to the point where the perfect roundness of the rubber tires starts to look weird!! (Especially in the 7th picture)
  11. Not in Normandy, but in the vicinity of Apeldoorn, the Netherlands...
  12. Welcome ZappaforNowOk!
  13. Here's a link to an article on patching, with links to the patches themselves. (You may need to register at Mission4today though...) http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&op=show&kid=584
  14. Welcome!
  15. Happy Happy Birthdays!
  16. Apart from the few mess ups: Good show! Very nice paint job!
  17. Future proofing is very difficult... One thing I know is that - in my experience - updating existing / few years old Processors is hardly worth doing. Either get it right the first time, or suffer a bit for the latter part of three odd years, and buy a new system. JMO.
  18. If indeed it's just for everyday use, as far as I can tell, it's a good buy. (http://dell-inspiron...views.r-tt.com/) Sempron 150 cannot be compared to i3, i5, i7, as it's a single core one. See here: http://www.cpubenchm...AMD+Sempron+150 (Money saver tips: leave out that expensive OS, go for Ubuntu. You won't be needing 4GB as well then, 2GB will do fine, however, it will probably make the machine harder to use for them, as it's so different from MS windows stuff... and they will probably not be familiar with it, and then have to change all the time. I'm starting to blabber now, please ignore...)
  19. I'd rather go for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9UgE59NVHM&feature=related Iggy Pop - Now I wanna be your dog
  20. Nope, not that mad Crash... I have tried to put the electronics of the G940, including the HAL sensor thing into the base of the Guillemot. It did not work in the end, as probably the stick movement of the Guillemot was quite different from the Logitech's one, so the HAL sensdor did not sense correctly... resulting into really erratic FFB behaviour... The rumbles of a pad like that are even further away from sending FFB centering and other forces to the stick, so I'm not even going to try that one... But the idea is not at all bad... If only Leo B. supported some FFB signals on his board.
  21. Good show, thanks for posting this!
  22. Still, try it like they state it should be plugged. It's for a reason they want the plugs to be as close together, with as little 'interference' as possible in betweeen them... Maybe something changed there? You plugged in a different device somewhere since the last few weeks?
