I think the problem is that, in general, people have less time to fly now than perhaps they did in the past, so adding more nights is probably not going to be a big hit. Incidentally, anyone see the CloD v4.5 mass test streamed live on Twitch and YouTube yesterday? It's on again at 8pm tonight for those who are interested. Looking good!

Howdy Pup, good to see you here again. The requirements for BoS are rather more modest than DCS, so if you’re looking for a new rig I would suggest starting there. 1) I'm guessing the game doesn't understand about what it's getting from the joystick when you change modes. As far as I understand it the software was never updated to work correctly with Win 7. I map everything in game these days and don't use any external software since I upgraded to Win 7 from XP. 2) Weird - No idea, sorry. Have you looked over on the BoS forums? 3) See 2 4) Works OK for me when mapping a shifted key in game - are you trying to do this in game? I've also had the launcher hang problem but I just kill it with the Task Manager.

Yes. I think you'll find this is all in v4.5. The AI has been beefed up and gunners are much more aggressive and accurate necessitating better tactics. I am told that AI skill can be tuned in the mission builder

I’m not sure how that would work Todd, as when you install the software it automatically gives you all the parts it knows you’re entitled too so somehow you’d need to transfer the licence to someone else. Well, personally I can't see much difference between 30 and 100FPS - We're just so used to the power of modern computers that more of anything is assumed to be better - even if we can't tell the difference.

I was thinking about a rather more 'open' recruitment drive rather than just focusing our efforts on one particular sim but that's as good a place as any to start. It's beginning to feel a bit like we're writing off '46 though which would not be the right approach IMO.

Are there still open forums where we could start recruiting more actively. I feel that since Jim passed our presence outside of here has diminished considerably.

So we could BoX on Tuesdays, CloD on Thursdays (v4.5 Beta testing is complete I understand) and '46 on Sundays? Spreads out the week and everyone gets to fly something they like (except the DCS boys but that tends to happen after the scheduled sessions anyway).

I paid £25 for 1946 which I felt was hardly a bargain as I already had all the expansions and the original game as well but there was new stuff too so all good in retrospect No idea on the original FB price though I’m afraid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
