"Harry Delta and The Sheep Dip of Fire" (Episodes 4 and 5 added !)
Logos replied to Friar's topic in Jim's Place
~S~ Friar Very well written mate. Yes, I too was thinking it would be something totally different from the title. Can't wait until the next installment. Hmmm? Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep. I bet you can get more than a few volunteers from our squadron to go looking for lost sheep. Stay tuned. Logos -

~S~ Mates This might be of interest to you chums even if you aren't into modeling. Two very rare model kits for sale/bid on E-bay right now. They end in about 24 hours. Sorry I didn't provide some sort of link to jump there from this post. I am not sure how to do it. I really am a computer dummy. Here are the details. They are both listed in Toys and Hobbies. If you search for Revell 1/32 Shiden N1K1-Ja ,item number 260166901209 you will find the George. Type in Revell 1/32 J2M3 Raiden "Jack", item number 260168039199 you will find the Jack. These are two of the rarest 1/32 scale model kits ever produced, according to the listing. By the bidding for these two kits I think they probably are extremely rare. The same seller is listing them and their E-bay tag is hinomaru hawk . If you think model builders have obsessions check out these auctions. Heck, go ahead and put in a bid if ya' got the spare change laying around. They end tomoro in the afternoon CTS. I don't think I can justify trying to bid on those kits unless it was to just sit on them and sell them at a later date. I wish I would have bought a truck load of them when I was younger. Good money for plastic. Logos

~S~ mates. Thanks for the support guys. Much info at those web sights D7. Perhaps 1/48 scale for starters might be a good idea. Man, those guys go bonkers detailing them planes. I think I will stick to basic elementary build to start with to see if my old fingers still work with tiny things...hmmm?

~S~ mates I have seen a few of you are model builders. I have not built a model for decades. I am kind of getting the itch to do so and would like some pointers from those DD's that enjoy this hobby. I have been looking on e-bay for a 1/32 F4U Corsair. I have seen some old Revell kits for this and wondered if it might be a good start for a modeling noob to get back into the hobby. Also, do any of you airbrush your kits. Is this a better way to get a nicer finish?

~S~ Greyknight mate. Yes indeed, may you have had a wonderful birthday and many more to come. It's nice to have gotten to know you and share the virtual skies with you mate. I just wish I knew how to fly them stinking rotten Nazi Luftwaffe crap planes so maybe you wouldn't be shooting my azz down in them Russian,American, British planes. Actually I rarely fly them Spits. Don't really care for them either. Let's see.. who else can I offend before I finish this post? Anyhow, hope you got what you wanted for your b-day and we'll be in your gun sight before too long I am certain. DD_Logos :wav2:
