Salute, Apologies for posting this in the general GBS forum but I wanted to catch all of the Dogz that may not read the Tank Crew threads. I am now starting to think about building the mechanics and guts of the "Battle of The Bulge" missions and although the first mission is still a good number of weeks away, I wanted to get an idea of the numbers that may / could consider wanting to take part. Outside of the people listed below (who I am already including) who have been regular "Saturday Tankies", do YOU think you may want to take part? The missions will run on a Saturday evening UK time (start time approx 20:00 - 20:30hrs) and should run for a couple of hours. I am not sure for how many weeks yet but would think it will be at least 4 or 5. Even if you do not have Tank Crew, if I know you are wanting to take part and are willing to commit to leaning the controls BEFORE the actual event, (come and join us on a regular Saturday night, we will be glad to help you get set up, or message one of the guys below in your time zone, I am sure they would help) I am more than happy to plan in the free German Panzer Mk III-L for you to use. I am certainly hoping to do this tremendous moment in history justice so should be (fingers crossed) an event not to be missed (ok, I am biased, I am building it!) If you want more information or have questions to ask, check out the BOTB thread in the Tank Crew section. What sort of mission is this? one of the scenarios in the single player area?

My pc has just done a windows update. When I checked the optional driver updates, saw this...

... and that is before I add fog and snow ! Thanks for the info though, I will check those areas out to see if we can go a different way.

I am planning to put the map up on the server on Friday evening for myself and FT to do some testing of the routes from the start. Anyone else is welcome to join us if they want to test other parts or even join us on the same route. If we get a few together I think a multi-crewed tank will be a good option with one driving and the other taking notes etc.

Not if I am sitting in your radio man position looking out the hatch...

Salute Due to the lack of roads on the standard map in the area I plan to use for this series, I have had to improvise by plotting a route using the ground "road" colour that passes for a route on the map (and not a texture like a proper road). Before I start building scenarios around this route, I need to make sure it is drivable (hills not too steep etc). I would therefore like to ask for volunteers to test the route and to record their findings on the form I will provide. It may be that you will say, for example between points D - F, it is too steep a hill for the tanks to climb or the drop is to much. In which case I will need to re-route. If you could use F11 (or whatever you have for free external) to possibly suggest an alternative if you encounter such a scenario, that would be much appreciated. I am thinking a German advance from East to West towards Bastogne?

Trouble is a lot of the actual towns and roads are missing from the in game map, below is what we have to work with for the area

Been thinking about this and have done a little bit of googling / research and... Ok, "Battle of The Bulge" it is...! We will play it from the German side. But I am going to need some help / advice if we are to do this properly (or as properly as possible), or at least give the actual events a slight nod. @Parts, @Perfesser Would you two be willing to set up a call with me so we can discuss the scenario and what is achievable on the map with the units we have available? @Sid - You may need to dust off your skinning powder again if that is ok?

If I were to embark on the "Battle of the Bulge" (and it would be quite an undertaking) do we want to be Allied, German or split up and be supported by AI on both sides?
