  1. Will it be a push for you to make it P&P? - it would be a shame for you two to miss this one.
  2. Salute Just to give you a heads up and to give you plenty of time to explain to your partner why you need to be on the Computer Saturday evening. We will be running the final phase of the "Battle of The Bulge" series this Saturday, 29th May. It will be a two scenario affair. The first is we must stop Bastogne being re-supplied and reinforced, and the second, the final push to try and make it into the town and take the Allied HQ, located in the central church. Start time will be 20:30 UK time Would be great to have everyone there and perhaps a few more Multi-crews? Cheers Friar.
  3. Was the carrier called Tom as well?
  4. 281 Dear Pilots! Behold the mighty Typhoon Mk.Ib in action! Coming soon to Battle of Normandy! It is now in Beta and is scheduled for release in June. It's another beauty by our talented team. This beast is armed with 4 x 20 mm Hispano cannons and can carry multiple rockets like the RP-3 in HE and AP flavors or a pair of 250 lb. or 500 lb. bombs. The cockpit is another tubular framework popular with British designers of the period. It just looks angry with those rockets slung under the wings! The Typhoon Mk.Ib helped pave the way for the Allied invasion of Normandy and soldiered on throughout the war pounding German ground units at every opportunity. We will feature no less than 21 Typhoon squadrons in our Normandy career with 4 of them flyable initially. Jason has created another special poster. This time inspired by the beautiful emblems of Typhoon equipped squadrons. These emblems were created by our artwork partner (and newly minted rocket engine engineer) Isaac "SolidKreate" Chavira. Full Size Poster HERE. We hope you enjoy these screenshots. They were a blast to make. Also in the works for Normandy is the solid nose Junkers Ju 88 C-6 which will make for an interesting maritime patrol and ground attack aircraft. Is it as effective and versatile as the American A-20B has proven to be? We shall find out! And finally, we have built a big 380 mm gun that was known as the Todt Battery. In BON it will try, and in real life it really did try to pound the Allied invasion forces into oblivion. During the real invasion it stayed operational until late September 1944 when it was finally captured by Canadian troops. Check out this short video as we test its animations. In other important news - next week, we plan to make an announcement about some additional content we plan to add to the Great Battles series, we hope you will be happy. Stay tuned! See you in the sky and on the battlefield! The Sturmovik Team

    Fresh meat?

Hello Seagoon and welcome to the pound. Yes you have stumbled upon a great group of guys to fly with where our number one rule is to have fun. Our flying schedule for GBS is Tuesday and Sunday. We also play Tank Crew on a Saturday evening. Start times around 19:30 UK time. Where are you based? We have guys from the UK, Europe, North America, Canada and even Australia! Can I ask how you found out about the DangerDogz?
  8. Sorry about that, what you do is become a fully fledged DangerDog and fly GBS and Tank Crew! You will not regret it, we have loads of fun!
  9. +1 to Friday night and Saturday at the show
  10. I saw this and was going to post. using an AAA gun is a lot more complicated than I thought! Thanks for posting Crash
  11. I would go along with that. Perhaps on nights when(if) we run a public Tank Crew night we set the server to no icons but with the player only navigation icon
  12. Don't forget to change your signature on other forums if you include "we play Clod", I just have for mine.
  13. Although I downloaded it I don't think I have actually ever played it, so all good from me. Is there anyway to put a message up on the server when (and if) people join to notify them of the fact that it will be being taken down permanently from say 2 weeks from now? Also does this give us the potential / capacity to put up a public GBS server? We could switch between Tank Crew only and perhaps running flying co-ops like in the old 46' days? Might attract a few people our way? Salute FT for all your work in keeping Clod going all this time with very little support.
  14. I have just got some in game recording sorted out, nothing up to BluBears standard but hopefully gives an idea of what goes on during Saturday Night...
  15. We are flying GBS tonight if you have the details and want to join us. I should be on Teamspeak from about 7:15/7:30 Co-ops should start around 8:30 but there will be a dogfight map up before that so come on in when ever you can.
  16. Had a good time last night, here are the stats http://aas-il2.com/fr/mission/694/
  17. Hey, Welcome. Your nickname is a bit of a mouthful so happy to go with DD_Edgar? As Crash says, we do not take our selves too seriously most of the time, but can switch it up a bit if needed. We have flyers that just about keep the plane the right way up to others that can tell you the day a Spitfire was made from a picture of a row of rivets. As I said in my post we fly GBS on Tuesdays and Sundays, DCS on Monday and Thursdays, Tank Crew on Friday and Saturday. Take part as much as you want, the only thing we would say is to respect other squad mates (well at least until you get to know them) and if you sign up for an event and then can not make it, just drop us a post, we know real Life V1.0 does get in the way of winning a war! We have guys that fly in VR, and with TrackIR, we use all sorts of Joysticks and Rudder pedals, if you have an issue we have someone that can solve it! As Crash said one of our techies will drop you a message about Teamspeak passwords etc. Welcome to the pound, you have found a great bunch of guys. I look forward to flying with you on Tuesday for dogfights and co-ops. Cheers Friar

  19. Salute, As part of the "Sturmovikfest" event that is currently going on over on the IL2 forums, one of the guys I have been talking to, LachenKrieg has announced a Multi-Crew tank event aimed at attracting Non Tank Crew owners to have a go at the sim with a chance to win some free copies. The details of the event are here; https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/71314-sturmovikfest-2021-tankmulticrew-contest-may-2/?tab=comments#comment-1084611 It takes place this Sunday (a planned P38 night ) but from 17:00-18:30 GMT, so 18:00 to 19:30 current UK time. I understand that the date and timing are not ideal but I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in taking part in the event? (I have posted to LachenKrieg that the P38 event will take first call with our guys but wondered if we could "squeeze" it in before?) For those of us that own Tank Crew, we would take the role of Driver / Commander with the NON Tank Crew owner being the gunner. It is also permitted for a crew to made up of both Tank Crew Owners Are there any NON Tank Crew owning dogs that would like to have a look? (with a chance of winning a free copy) and make up a crew with me? It would be nice to have someone I know in my tank with me!
  20. Think we may have found our tank commander! well done sir!
  21. Just had a thought, should we try it without Sid's icon mod first to make sure there is nothing funny going on there before I log it? I think we should try it with icons disabled on the server and also in "stock" mode (icons on). @Sid Could you perhaps test it on your next weekday tank session please? Or is there a few people around this afternoon/early evening to try it with me?
  22. Ok, thanks I will log it on the IL2 forum.
