Truthfully guys- I know it doesnt look quiet right but how much would you give for a wee flight in it ???? Imagine at the controls of a spitfire

because I started out on original IL2 by flying Bf 109s and have stuck with it. By the time we got spits- Aces addon I think- it was a long time before we got decent off line campaigns so I stuck with 109s. went online and everyone flew red so I flew blue to balance teams so Im stuck with them. about the only red I fly outside our co-ops are spits - cant get the hang of mustang or thunderbolt although for some reason the lightning is ok

Fixed this - It seems that there was another windows service interfering with the download- I havedisabled this service and was a ble to download patch I had bought.

2 hour trying to get boonty box crap to work so I can download patch - not fuckin happy I have paid and have code but everytime I launch boontybox.exe and select language then my pc freezes. sorry about rant but very pissed off just now- will try again tomorrow.

I wont be able to get it until monday due to work but then Ill do a copy of my origonal so I can run 2 versions- I take it you just copy the il2fb folder somewhere- that will be old version and then patch up origonal for PE version.

Please read and follow the instructions to ghost carefully- see link above and ghost home page on web-I wiped out a partition by backing up from one partition into another partition and not from partition into image on backup partition :oops: - fortunatly I had backed up my data on this file or I would have lost my digital photographs. I would make sure that no matter what you buy that you partition it and keep one or two partitions soley for ghost backups so you reduce chances of errors.

the hes will circle the last way point until they run out of fuel - which will take some time so the idea is to nail them before this happens- :wink: - ignore the mission completed message this doesnt count - only the time to down all 8 It is best to assign a key to record a track in the game - this will record as a ntrk file and is better than trying to record afterwards- I use shift+t to record- you will need to assign this under controls-under quick start/save track key- it gets saved as quick0001.ntrk etc hope this helps

I have started recording tracks of most of my engagements and play them back to see how I fly and Iv picked up many pointers. The main thing is that in a dogfight there is a very thin line between success and failure - for example on Sunday there was a good match up with spits vs Me109 k s , I was flying a spit and never saw one of the bandits close and actually hit me - fortunatly the shot didnt appear to do any damage and I went into a spiral dive and shook him off- I went on to fly and score well in that mission but it could have been so different - anyway this wee tale is just to recommend that you all think about recording tracks if you dont already do so . Oh and Check six !!!!!

Hi mate- you will need to uninstall your existing copy - either through windows add remove or via the cd, then you will be able to install the new version. if you want to keep your old folders for campaigns , skins etc then copy the entire il2fb folder to another directory or better still another partition and name it something like il2backup. for good info on installing/uninstalling, multiple installs and trouble shooting see here http://www.airwarfare.com/guides/patching.htm good luck
