  3. Saturdays are not really suitable for me so I prefer the standard friday nights- obviously one I aint working so I can join in the fun. Im willing to substitute a normal sunday co-op night for these DF matches every now and again but dont know if majority agree. anyway as long as Im off then Ill be there with 2100-0100 GMT the most suitable.

    Im Back

thanks for the warm welcome- I was very rusty last night- in the 1st mission I survived around 5 mins before ripping my wings off in a dive still I had good fun and a memorable dogfight with bg in biplanes - excellent flying by BG last night he nailed me good a few times. anyway I should get some practice in before thursday but the standard around here keeps getting better so Ill need it

    Im Back

Back from hols- managed to get to duxford and had a flight in a tiger moth - great fun - will post pics later- should be able to make it for some flying tonight
  6. nice find mate - deflection and lead can be calculated by knowing mozzle velocity - see here http://www.airwarfare.com/guides/deflection_guide.htm where he gives examples of difference between 30mm and .50 s I dont know who can do this in a dogfight situation but will give people a rough idea for increasing/decreasing lead depending on type of gun they are shooting with - bloody zeros need about 2 times normal lead - or just get in CLOSER I suppose
  7. early zeros cannons do it too - I cant hit shit with them - the later ones had german mg20mms
  8. dont be hard on yourself mate - it is a very very hard job to lead a side and you didnt have a lot of time. As usual everything went very fast during the missions and thats the toughest thing - to keep track and to make changes in planning if and when needed , add to this the fact you are flying and engaging bandits yourself and its a tough balancing act. the main thing is that people had fun - which we did-and we all look forward to the next encounter. ~s~
  9. Thanks mate - its obvious you put a lot of time and effort into this-its appreciated

  11. interesting development from UBIZOO- http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 8111000864 hope this works then we could maybe get a DD server running co-ops automatically
  12. Top student, eh? Does that mean he gets to keep his Corsair? You flew a Corsair, right Pook? I think that a DD gong is in order, and drinks are on Pook in the Mess! Congrats, man! Semper Fi! done
  13. well done mate
  14. I had 2 triumph bonnevilles the first one I bought I turned into a cafe racer with clip ons - rear sets and painted black with gold pin stripes- chromed everything I could and fitted open mega with K&N filters- it was a dog I spent 3 years wages on it - it was always in the bike shop getting fixed- but I loved it to bits- I even bought a second one to keep me going when the first was off the road and for winter use- it lasted longer than the original - I got so pissed of with it always breaking down that I sold it for a honda vf500- that was a nice bike 500cc V four. kept the old bonnie for winter use - never let me down. I crashed my car and had to sell both bikes to buy a new one and I havnt had one since - still miss them sometimes but then too many friends have been hurt or killed that I wont get another one. Id love to see your pics dubbo if you can find them mate. If I ever get my scanner working on my old pc Ill post pics of the bonnies
  15. Knockhill racecourse had a vintage day today - had an excellent time - highlight was a spitfire flypast and display - apologies I just have a compact digital. The merlin engine was fired up and ran - oooooooooooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeet noise - it was from a beaufighter. BIKES Jim clarks car Jackie stewert doing an exhibition lap Merlin SPitfire

    museum visit

I believe it is the work of a 5 year restoration project- Like you I hope that the way they have suspended her doesnt damage her in any way - pity they couldnt have taken it further and actually got her to fly again
  18. I was at the kelvingrove museum today to see the spit they have suspended in the main gallery- it is a type XXI that flew for city on glasgow squadron at the end of the war one for doubletap and a portrait hanging in a gallery
  19. I should be able to make the 4th - Im going to a concert but should be back around midnight GMT so can join then
  20. 6hrs - plenty of time to slip in a format mate- Seriously - glad you have things running smoooooooooooooooooothly
  21. Too many good squad nights but some in particular that I recall vs sunflower- me in 109 , him in a yak , swooped and avoided and went round for what seemed like an hour swopping advantage but eventually ended in an honerable draw flying with BG and someone else in 25lb spits vs 109K - I was lucky to escape a pass then went on to shoot down around 3 of them me and freelancer in 109s one night with good teamwork- pictured here http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 8251008944 anytime we play the TB3 "man-o-war " missions - I always end up pissin myself laughing the D-Day night -never known 3 or more hours to go so quickly- highlight was the first map where red won by destroying last object -JUST as the last red plane was shot down - couldnt have been any closer
  22. ~S~ mate - excellent work !!!!!
