I was bitching about my problem with map loading and stopping- well last night I remembered somthing Rog said about TS display so I stopped using this and have had no probs since - TY ROG Apologies in advance if I get your names wrong on TS guys but Im not going to use this anymore so I might make some mistakes :oops:

  3. Rattler - Im sure we will be flying IL2FB for a while to come - BOB will have few planes and maps and co-ops when launched - it will take some time to get up to the level of what we have. And it will have to be something special for me to assign IL2 to the bin . I enjoy flying the later war planes and so do many others so I think there will still be a need for IL2 FB

    sged - this game does not support 6dof - but the new battle of britain will. however the tir4 is better than tir3 +ve and is the version I would go for- you can see my comments in the link I gave to Quazi above. I have used 6dof in WOV Battle of britain and it is awsome - I cant wait to see it in one of Olegs sims.

    Quazi - when I did the review for TIR 3 I credited a guy with helping me as I used his profile. He got in touch and is actually a beta tester for TIR.   8. il sticks is the same as the control section in the game - it just makes it easier to adjust- both write to your config file when you use il2 sticks you are editing one profile , which contains all controllers. when you click on an axis e.g. roll Il2 sticks will display the stick id and the axis you are editing - your peddels will be id 0 and your joystick id 1 - see section below for all controler ids and axis the other way is to edit the config file manually - open main folder - right click conf file - edit FROM TULLYS INSTRUCTIONS Before commencing any edits, make a backup of the conf.ini file by making a copy and renaming it conf.bak. This will make it easier to fix any catastrophic errors we may make. Each line corresponds to one controller axis and six of the first seven lines don't even apply unless you're flying an early patch version (pre v1.04) of the original IL2 Sturmovik game. The line FF=0 is the Force Feedback toggle. If you're using a force feedback joystick and have forces switched on it will be set FF=1. The lines we're interested in start with the line beginning "1X=.....". The lines beginning 1X, 1Y, 1RX, 1RZ, 1U, 1V & 1Z correspond to the Windows ID#1 controller (there may be more or less in your file, depending on the number of axes present on your controllers). The lines corresponding to the ID#2 controller begin 1X1, 1Y1, 1RX1, 1RZ1 etc. If you have more controllers plugged in you will also have 1X2, 1Y2, 1RX2, 1RZ2 etc for Windows ID#3 and so forth. Though the author has never tested, it is believed that the IL2 series supports up to four controllers. After the axis designation tag at the start of each line there are twelve numbers. The numbers correspond to the slider control in the Hardware Setup / Input screen in the game, though that screen only has sliders for the controller showing in Windows as ID#1. The first number in each line corresponds to the deadband setting for that axis, the last number is the filtering setting and the ten numbers in between correspond to the ten sensitivity sliders found in the game's joystick setup screen. In order to set up your primary flight controller with the same sensitivity as you had before installing your second controller, you'll need to identify which line correspond to the axes of your second controller. When you assigned axes in the game controls screen you made notes of the axis designations. If you didn't, start the game now and write them down.   12. VT are they gameport or usb ? If gasmeport you need to download the analogue drivers see here http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_chanlg.html http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_support_pc.html you will also need to ensure your gameport drivers are loaded for the soundcard - but as you have said that another device worked before this should not be necessary. If this does not work try posting here http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?act=idx there used to be a boot disc available for analogue ch products to work on XP on that forum but I cant find them the reason I know is that I was going to try and get the analogue ones but ended up just buying the usb agter reading about the trouble some people had getting analogue to work. If they are usb then try various usb slots to test them out and if no luck then post in ch-hanger - someone might be able to help there. good luck

  17. late war luftwaffe and late war spitfires are what light my fire- but Ill admit I enjoy flying different plane sets while on co-ops as I fly these on warclouds anyway. I dont like unbalanced plane sets as I dont think these work well for co-ops , in a markedly inferior plane you would have to be very careful about choosing when to engage or wether to engage at all and we are all a bit tally -ho for that Oh and I hate planes with carbs as I always conk out my engine :oops:

A little background, we are a squad that flys mainly co-ops but are venturing into hosting our own dogfight nights , we have around 30 members with a wide range of skills and are willing to assist new members in any way we can to help them become part of the squad. We have regular nights but also informal get togethers through the week so there is usually a time slot to suit Oh we fly 4.05 so we can discuss this later after you have contacted BG S

Its funny to see your pictures, I remember very clearly that I was last in line for the shot (screen 1) then curved inside and had BG in my sights, no other blues in front, was pulling lead nicely when BAM my wing came off I am as guilty as the next for putting the blinkers on when going for the shot and have been trying to stay out of the fight when others are engaging but thought I has boxed BG well and that other blue were higher behind and to the right of me ?!? :shock: Ill just need to order the upgrade Me109s - the ones without the pop off wings

  25. this is fine colin - cant see any problems with it - far better to go pci than have a hub I bought a cheep one from a local pc shop , and just plug it in and away you go
