I think that since the last patch my machine could run better with additional memory. I currently run 2* 512s generic memory ( 1 is crucial ) so was wondering wether to buy an additional 2*512 or better to buy 2* 1G and sell my old memory - I have always used crucial memory and dont overclock. Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Roger- Can we get a community help section in the forums for general questions- a few of us have been flying on line for a while but others might find it useful to have a section where they can ask general or even technical help questions . Teamspeak is ok but written is better for keeping for future reference. Ta Dave

All- the votes have been cast so Im going to propose that we adopt DD_handle as the suffix. It is in keeping with most other squads and especially our HH_ brothers so I think it is the most appropriate and the one with the most votes. As I said in the last post I dont want to, or would presume to , force this on anyone but if we can adopt this when flying on other servers or on UBIZOO etc then I feel it will add to our new squadrons identity.

Guys - please make sure that you credit properly for skins , misions etc. I dont think most skinners will mind us hosting their skins as long as they get credited. I have an x850pro - you can see my other specs in the hardware rig thread- and get around 38 FPS on blackdeath on perfect.

Roger suddenly had a strange desire to go into cheese production after the war had finished here is a track of the normandy canadian beach mission- BIG download It doesnt play right away for me. I have to start it then esc and enable user controlled views and then play track and go to external F2 to get it to work. you can then go F1 to see inside pit and then have a choice. 1) esc then turn off user controls and return to track to see how I flew . 2)keep playing the track and Go external F2 then cycle thro blue by shift+F2 or red by ctrl+F2 to find yourself http://www.k9squadrons.com/files/tracks ... k0051.ntrk hope you enjoy these Dave

following my last post I think the fairest way to decide is a poll so here are the options- I dont think colon is allowed so Iv limited it to these - most seemed to prefer ddogz but might be too lengthy for some servers ?!?

Here is mine by a guy called compans- he doesnt do many but I think they are brilliant- the weathering and worn look feels right Paul ritchie was a pilot in No 1 Squadron and faught in the Battle of France- he wrote one of the definitive accounts of fighter combat- Fighter Pilot hope you like this

The skin is from The Last Days Add on. I have a few so I can upload them once we get a section sorted. I was lagging behind in the shot as I was ment to be in your squad Roger but wasnt very sure of where you were heading so got caught in the middle :wink:

Good Idea to post in joint ops so all Dogz and Hounds can find out when to fly. It is a real pity when one of the mates wants to fly or find out whats happening and cant get info. Dont want to discriminate against any members and we all should try to accomidate the time zones. I am extremly grateful to the guys who host and join in at times that suit the UK players We also need to get details of who can or is willing to host from all members so that we dont overburden or rely on those who are doing a sterling job just now. We could do with a HOST FAQ e.g. How do you host a game ? do you run dedicated server software or just through multiplayer in game ? how do you host teamspeak ? so that those willing to help would have a simple guide to help them. I am flying a lot just now but I dont think that I will continue at this level for much longer due to family and work comitments. SO taking all into consideration I really cant commit to anything further than the 2100 - 2400hrs GMT sessions I currently do on Thursday and Sunday nights. Although with my shift schedule I will look out for other oppertunities to fly with the mates.

I just wish I could fly like I talk mate- :oops: I know what I SHOULD be doing but usually forget it all in the heat of the fight. :oops: Sorry I slipped into "LECTURE MODE " in last post - I get carried away sometimes- well the wife says I should be carried away I must add tho that two other things that make a difference are - how comfortable you feel in the aircraft- some planes just suit you and others dont- if you like the plane and have a lot of practice in it then you will be confident to push it to the edge. the other is stick settings - I have REALLY struggled to get comfortable with my stick input since 4.0xxx patches. I thought it was me or the stick had gone off- there seemed to be a lag in input- with the latest patch I think things have settled down - I have been able to take off all filters and have been able to increase my sensitivity and now feel I am closer to how I was flying before. hope this helps
