  1. Sorry Sid don't understand your question, I found the solution on the il2 forum. There are others who had the autolevel going off when switching to bomb view and found the conflict was when switching on bomb view when on autolel
  2. I had problems with dropping out of auto level when setting up bombing and heard others have same problem last night. What I discovered was that when you go to bombsight mode it should activate autolevel automatically so if you have put it into autolevel then went to bomb sight it confuses things. I have done a brief check and the solution I have found is go to bomb mode then switch straight back to normal and check autolevel has activated , if not toggle bombsight until it does. Once confirmed in autolevel (by just using the bombsight key) I have not had any problems. I can make adjustments and toggle back to normal view to view map then back to bombsight without issue

    New pedals arrived 😃😃😃
  4. Enjoyed my bomb run, got confused over target but no big change there 😆so don't think I hit much but looking forward to improve next mission. Thanks to Sid and crash for help and chat in mission
  5. I should be there bomber please
  6. Found out that my rudder pedals were not working right last night and exprired today when testing so officially dead after many years faithfull service. I have ordered a new set but unsure how long it will take to arrive so Im ghoing to try twist grip until new set arrives
  7. I'd like transfer to a-20 as well please new pilot name Dave haggis
  8. 485th seem to be in a loop either fly around and see no air combat or get bored and attack ground targets and get plastered by flak. I understand that lack of air is a game device due to our success and probably realistic but a tad frustrating
  9. Last time the 110 was too vulnerable, given map and objectives, easier to survive in 109
  10. Thanks for taking on feedback and working on improvement. I'm in . Would it be cheeky to ask that fighters could take bombs too ?
  11. I can make monday night
  12. Sorry mate but it seems I don't have permission to view post

    win7 ftw

To be fair if you pay for it then do what you like to enjoy yourself. I don't like whiskey snobs, if you want cola or lemonade in a drink then crack on, I personally think malt is better with just water but that's me

    win7 ftw

Its the only things allowed, like water is all that can be added to malt, we burn those who add cola at the stake

for the heritics who didnt believe me , I still run win 7
  16. Colin thanks for putting it together and I appreciate that it was a tank focused mission but I have a few suggestions on how the air side could be improved for future. 1) targets It is very difficult to hit a moving tank, ( I only remember one hit all night by plane) especially so in cover, so perhaps add bridges fuel dumps or repair buildings or supply trains.etc to make air side more varied. Spread targets around , so not concentrated in one area, having only one target makes it easier to defend against bombers. 2) agreed airfield was too close together and too close to target say bombers 10 Min flight to target . 3) increase choice of plane and loadout, 109 couldn't carry bombs and only had 15mm cannon 4) air icons , I just couldn't see planes so if possible add air icons only. I think most of this was in original scenario S
  17. I would prefer icons, too many friendly kills without them.
  18. @Colin Having had discussions and test run last night could we please have an update on Sundays scenario, map, settings, teams etc. Thanks
  19. Good point by prof practice with gyro sights and that will help p51 spitfire 9 and Dora have gyro
  20. Hi mate , its a question dear to my heart as I am also shite at calculating gunnery. I have studied it and put a collection of tips here, including ww2 RAF, Luftwaffe and USAAF docs In BOX I have my convergence at 300m and give a lot of lead, if the bandit is turning at all I am basically shooting blind under my nose. Dont chase the pipper, try to learn how many rings lead for the angle the bandit is off. Getting in close is good. The FW is very sensitive to changes in Angle of attack (or pitch) try to fly as smooth as possible and set up your attack , best practice is you shouldnt be turning in it , dive, turn no more than 20 degrees then wings level and zoom up again Hope that helps
  21. Hi and welcome, we fly Box on Tuesday and Sunday nights . We are online around 2000 hrs UK time. Format is dogfight server for 30 mins to warm up then into co ops. We also host events, currently flying a p-38 campaign and a tank/plane event planned. We use teamspeak for communication We fly coops using all versions of the SIM and bodenplatte is almost necessary to take part. In addition there are squad members from united states and Canada and they host nights suitable for your time zone. We do not usually fly full real but allow incons etc. However you should be comfortable with engine start and management and twin prop plane control The is no ranking per se in the squad tho some senior members have a committee to help run the squad The most important is that we are a FUN friendly group that have been flying together for many years and welcome all but the most absolute idiots. There is plenty of experience, support and advice in the squad and I'm sure you would enjoy being around S Delta7
  22. are the airfields not too close , it could be a vulch fest , please supply alternative additional airfields further away
  23. I think tanks should be unlimited and aircaft limited depending on number of of fighters and flak density, if low like on the P-38 mission then say 3 per pilot. If higher then more. Plane type is more difficult, but I'd keep it simple put up a proposed list, let folk have a say then make a decision by throwing some chicken bones in the air and see how they land, you won't please everyone anyway 😆😆😆
  24. Hi and welcome, I'm sure you will settle in quickly and don't be afraid to ask if any questions, we are pretty laid back untill the action starts but always willing to help each other
  25. axis for a change please
