Ouch - that must've reeeeeally hurt.

Mind you, there were people outside the fence during the RIAT at RAF Fairford (getting a free airshow) a few years back who were proposing to sue the RAF after the Vulcan demonstrated it's short take-off capability (basically brakes on, full throttle, brakes off) right at the very end of the runway where they were stood. The fact that the police had already warned them twice and moved them on once had nothing to do with it.
