T_O_A_D
SOB! Those are the same star formations we have over here. Really cool vid, I bet them caused a few mystic, spiritual confusion back in the day
Shadrach
Seeing the Northern Lights is near the top of 'things I'd love to see or do before I die' list......that and playing Clod!
Sweper
I have seen one spectular NL in the 80s when skiing high up above the polar circula, right on the border to Norway. Went out for a walk to a nearby "underground" bar, located in a swedish defence bunker from ww2. A friend worked as a skii instructor at this skii resort and he brought me to the bar that was not official to the tourist at the hotel. We were standing for minutes watching the sky with our yaws hangin open. Here is another one, same technicue but from another guy:
GreyKnight
Another one here who has this, or the Aurora Australis, on their 'bucket list.'
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted March 30, 2011 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted March 30, 2011 Saw the NL in the UK a few years back, so crossed of my bucket list Was awesome, and very unusual for it to be so far South - caused a degree of panic about 20 odd years ago with people 'phoning the police! We may get another chance this coming year, with solar activity forecast to be at a peak. Bit of entertainment for us when it knocks out the power grids
