B25 Model

Pappy

Recommended Posts

For Christmas, my father-in-law gave me a 1:48 B25-J model. After a few weeks working off and on, here is the finished product. Sorry about the photo quality, its from my phone.

*note* This isnt a historically accurate model. The original Sunday Punch B-25 was aluminum color with tail number 44. But i wanted my own custom paint job to include my personal favorite number: 7 (I flipped the 4 upside down and cut out parts to make it look like a 7) lol

Great Job there Pappy!

Do you have an airbrush?? I have been thinking of getting one sometime for projects like this..

No, I wish. I just used the cheap old Testors paint. First coat usually goes on kind of watery, and can is kinda of transparent. I found cross-hatching on a second coat leaves a nice finished look. Its hard to see, but i tried to add engine debris behind the cowlings. Just dipped a paper towel in some gray/black mix and smeared it lightly.
