JensenPark Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Obviously some of you work for this airline. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/091023/koddities/us_northwest_airport_overflown_3 Pilot: Did you read the brief? Quote
Squawk Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Pilot: I don't see the bloody way points. Quote
Zeus-cat Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Pilot: You can end it now; I don't need to land. Quote
JensenPark Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Ahh Squawk and Zeus...you make my laugh out loud here in my office. Well done and thanks. oops. Quote
GreyKnight Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Pilot: Anyone know how to slow these things down, and turn them around? Co-pilot: You need to press CTRL+E, someone in the know told me. Quote
Enforcer57 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Pussy? Pussy? ........(ahem), I will refrain from mentioning anything about those who......"hesitate".....to fly jets, although I do approve of the subject matter in some forms. I should shut up I guess, as I don't wanna be "landfill" on the estate. Regarding the airline crew, I think it had something to do with their conference with a hot new stewardess nicknamed "Double-ender" that may have distracted them. And how bout the Delta guys that landed on a taxi way at Atlanta? Sheesh man. This is just more proof that I am the prophet of the western world, as I predicted that the removal of the third cabin crew guy was gonna cause some SEVERE problems. You need three guys up there, I don't give a damn what any "economist" says. The same thing is wrong with with US airpower; the guys making the decisions don't know a bloody thing about the subject matter. Quote
Sulky Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 as far as im aware from being "in cockpit" a few times if the you ignore the nav system there is no audio warning just a fly to type indicator on it, same applies to the AI and HSI. the only obvious audio would be from air tragic Quote
SkyPup Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 News reports now say both pilots had been using their laptops. Quote

SkyPup Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Here's the FAA letter revoking the captain's license.... cheney+emor_Revised.pdf Quote
GreyKnight Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Fair enough I guess. What were their excuses? A heated debate? Checking things on laptop? For 90+ mins!?!? You snooze, you lose, literally! Quote
