BBloke Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Well I made the leap from TIR2 to TIR4 with vector expansion. Quote

JensenPark Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 oh great... first the freak finds a way to negate the curvature of the earth and shoot you down with a .303 over the horizon - with a deflection shot as he is blacked out...now he has TrackIR4 to make him even better. Quote
delta7 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 had mine for about a year now and no issues with reliability- although sometimes it would freeze but I set the tir process priority higher and its ok now- it is the dogz bollox !!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
BBloke Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 I've had a small play with it in BOB2 WOV and its ace and 6DOF is something else to get used to. Quote
Streak Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I tend to just use the default combat flight profile. Really like the way it locks into the forward view without shaking around. I just need to take the time & figure out how to tweak it so I can turn all the way backward like the CharveL profile. CharveL is just way to sensitive, my view bounces around like I'm having an epileptic fit & I can't focus on anything around me & then I get an eye strain headache. Quote

You need to configure an area in the centre where small movement of Physical head = zero movement of virtual head. Then configure acceleration to ramp up to left and right (same for up and down) so as you turn more the TiR interprets faster. You are looking for a curve profile that resembles the cross-section through a saucer...strewth a picture really does paint a thousand words! Quote
Streak Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Okeeedokeee. I'll have to give it a try & see if I can finally fine tune it to my taste. Quote
BBloke Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 I decreased the CharveL by reducing the overall curve. Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted October 2, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 2, 2007 BOB WOV reverses the Roll, you need to invert it to get it right. So when you bank left put your head to the right to maintain your eyes horizontal to the horizon Quote
