The last time I used this it worked fine. That was a few months ago. It worked fine the whole 2 years that I had it. So, I went to sell it on ebay, and it sold for $245! But the guy said it was broken when he got it. The plastic cover that holds the 3 fans has 2 tabs at the end that had snapped/broke. He sent me pictures. At first I thought that he probably broke it. But after thinking about it, I think it 'may' be possible that the post office broke it. The box does not look damaged, but they may have just squished the sides enough to snap those tabs. In any case, it may/probably still works. I think the tabs could be fixed with super glue or something. But I don't feel comfortable selling this online since it's broke. That's so funny..

Some of my profiles were setup when I first got the x55 and was having problems. Saitek Support said to make the commands 'Advanced Commands' to fix their bugs. But that is not necessary now from my experience now. So, if you see any simple Advanced commands, and have problems with them, just change them to basic Keypresses.

In Teamspeak, Settings, Options, Hotkeys, select "Keyboard & Mouse Only" in the bottom/right combobox. Or TS will cause problems when the x55 sends keys. Do not have the Profile Editor open when testing in game, or just using in game. It can capture sent keystrokes. Right-Click on the icon in the SysTray to select (download) your profile. Click on it to open the Profile Editor. Grease your shaft. If you have problems, plug them directly into your motherboard USB. Again, if you have problems. Search x55 USB 3.0 HUB Ghosting. I have not had this, but there seems to be a problem on some systems with USB 3.0. Last, don't ever call Saitek Support. Here are my profiles. What is the purpose of that pic you can put in the cockpit with the other aircraft wingspans? If you are setting your gunsight convergence by feet, how do you use this pick?

I think I got most of that Jack. Just to I understand. When you say: This lag is only temporary until you return to straight and level flight. It only happens when you are in the turn? After the turn the T returns to North, right?

I'm glad you posted that Jack. After our little class in this the other night, I thought you did use the DG to navigate. And that we just pointed our airplanes north so you could show me something as an example. Now that makes sense. Now I'm wondering why you showed me how to set the DG? Maybe that was the example? Either way, I get your point about using the CS. Why does't the CS get screwed up when we make wild turns? Because it has an actual magnetic compass and the gyro only has a gyro to hold it on point?

Yes, his formation flying is really just trying to follow someone (me) at this point. We've gone over Jabo's items 1 & 2 pretty well. And he can takeoff and land ok. So, if he can just stay with the flight he won't be a duck, and can practice navigating with the help of others.. All in all he's doing well. Tomorrow we will review the difference between the top of the airplane and the bottom with those wheelie thingys. And in due course..

What does the ground controller do? Tell us not to drive on his grass?
