  1. I was just getting your cask ready for shipping Wingnut and then you shot me down twice in a row.
  2. As delta7 has said, you should try finding the il2 1946 DVD. We have another new applicant to the Dogz from Sweden and he was able to find a used copy in his local store for the equivalent of $8.00. I''ll be in touch with you by email shortly. BG BTW love your call sign.
  3. Finally got through to my ISP. My contact just got back from a week's vacation in Texas! Connection issues are due to hardware failure at the tower I connect to 23 kms away. Unfortunately, they are still experiencing issues so there is another problem at the tower which they have not been able to locate yet. I guess it never ends! My bandwidth looks ok but packet loss is causing spikes and red bars. Should be ok for hosting in the short term.
  4. I have lost it before. Fairly easy to get it back. Ithink all you have to do is go to Control Panel and right click on System. Then send shortcut to desktop. Something like that anyway.
  5. Most enquiries I am familiar with do not hold back. If there is pilot error, a mistake by ATC or a design problem with the aircraft it will not be sugar coated for public consumption.
  6. Have a happy birthday Chris. I'll have a drink for you.
  7. Agree Rattler. They were away over the permissible limits and should not have tried the landing. I am sure there will be a lot more to be heard on this one.
  8. 250 km an hour does sound kind of high. I saw someone posted on the Zoo it was about 85km per hour which is still bloody windy.
  9. I feel your pain Old Timer. My connection was flaky all weekend and still sucks. Just waiting for my ISP to open their offices.
  10. I saw that on TV this morning. Cross winds were gusting to 250 km per hour! He made the landing on the go around.
  11. There was a thread on UBI saying Stage 6 was closing shortly. I hope not because there is some excellent WW2 stuff there.
  12. I had the sincere pleasure of meeting up with APHill (one of our newer Dogz) in Detroit, the night before I left for Florida. Helen, Tom and I had dinner together and spent a couple of hours discussing you all. Well actually it was only a couple of minutes talking about you lot. The rest of the time we talked about flying.
  13. Better it fails now then later Highlander. A real pain though waiting for a replacement.
  14. Thanks guys. It is good to be back in my own home. Great holiday and a new attitude! It was a bugger having no Internet access though!
  15. I think we should give you a thread all to yourself Bonger m8. You have some good material.
  16. As Painless would say: Bloody well done!!!!!!!!!!! And you did well Pooka. That is a fast crowd you were running with.
  17. Quazi would be the guy to ask. He is building a computer for some old fart at UBI Zoo and went through the same exercise as you are trying to do. I'll send you his email by email.
  18. Thanks bbloke. It is now in the vault under Utilities.
  19. Since this is very hard to find a link for, I thought I would post it here. I tried to upload to the vault but got a message to say I am not authorized to upload. WTH! So here is the link. All you need is the exe. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=382195
  20. That's almost enough to get me over there.
  21. God speed and safe return to all who head off into a war zone.
  22. That really looks like Jensenpark. Just the kind of thing he would do.
