  1. As of last weekend, our GBS Server is running two different 'missions' 24/7. One rotating the set of 4 DF a/c oriented missions (90min rotation), the other running the 'Tankcrew Summer' mission, created/tuned by dd_Friar, with options to battle in open field and in towns, or to practice at a gun range. It will restart itself after 3 hours of running. Yeah, bad luck if/when you kill all possible targets on the map in the first half hour - you better go fly for two and a half hours. Note: Some targets will quickly re-spawn after being killed - you cannot run out now! Note: The TankCrew mission will not be running whilst we are doing the regular Sunday/Tuesday Coops, the PWCG campaign, and any other special/custom stuff being created and hosted in between - like on a Saturtankday ... well, no problem, you won't miss that Tankcrew mission, as you are joining the event, for sure! Have Fun! Edit by Friar - The first couple of rows of targets now re-spawn so you will not be able to kill EVERYTHING!
  2. Careless? Never! But, I couldn't care less. Inattentative? I've been spending plenty of vacation/holidays camping in a tent, in Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, even in Spain, thank you very much!
  3. Partial debrief for 402nd: Lost Red3 (Jabo) immediately after t/o when he raised the gears, structural failure of the P38, looked like main spar failed. He was wounded, hope he will be okay. Encountered 6 FW190-A8 over friendly territory, close to the front. We downed them all. Unfortunately, lost White3 (Perf) due to blackout. I collided with one of the 190's, and I lost left hand engine, returned home and landed there. White1 took lead of the group, and continue to the mission objective(s). White1 will report on that bit, I assume.
  4. Found the proper place. I think. I hope: \DCS\CoreMods\WWII Units\P-47D-30\Liveries\P-47D-30
  5. Yeah, but, now, like as in always in DCS installation... where do I put these folders?? So lost!
  6. Oh dear... was on my way to add them to ChkSkins... lol Thanks!
  7. Now if one takes the pic as the real deal... one would finish up with a Bw/grey scale model! Cools!
  8. 402nd After patrolling over Nettesheim area up to 14K ft, and nothing to be seen... headed NE, dropped bombs on train station at Zülpich. Unfortunately, Red 2 got damaged and had to bale (he did make it over friendly territory) White flight found some enemy a/c, chased them down North, and shot them down. (262's) On the way home Red 4 noticed engine issues, and had to switch #2 off. All remaining 6 a/c landed at home base. No pilots lost, some ground kills, some a/c kills. Good show!
  9. It's even installed and ready for use on our server, not currently running though ... there appears to be no need for it within our group. We got TS, which works fine for our purposes. If you have a need for more realistic radio, crackling and stuff, then it could add to the immersion.
  10. Oh my... Mossie Multicrew?
  11. Can I have number 6? (Reasoning: when the boche kills my tank, and the turret flies off, and it lands upside down ... then y'all look and see Painless bought the farm!)
  12. Added to CheckSkins now
  13. 485th hooked up with 402nd due to low numbers overall (lost Jabo) due to technical issues right after take off, he did emergency land successfully. Red, Blue and White flights attacked targets with success, lots of guns killed, some vehicles. It felt rather coordinated No real close calls, only one, where Chris nearly merged with a wild Tempest (already called the RAF about that) Everyone got home! Happy! Thanks 485th, good show! (No enemy a/c encountered at all)
  14. Wow... that's special, so like it never ever happened to me, and I'm sure none of the members of our squad have done this! Yep, basically, that's our approach!
  15. Hi Marc, Welcome here!
  16. Hurraay! I did it! Blenheim, 100 Fuel, took off from Watchfield, climbed up to like 25k feet! Contrails for the win! Dropped bombs somewhere over France ... After three hours, I landed back at Watchfield. Nearly wrecked it, as at initial approach I glanced to below the left hand engine ... oopsie ... gear was still up! Go around, no sweat... landed! So happy! I am a hero... now where's my Swordfish?
  17. Finally made it through a long flight that I had been wanting to do for so long! Take off from airfield near Cherbourg, in a 110, fly North over the Isle of Wight, and onwards north. Then East to fly over London, the Thames estuary. Then South East towards France... Next South, Le Havre, then West, and land at the same base I took off from. This all on our open BoB Server! Cools. Very Cools. Dropped two bombs over London. From contrails altitude. They must have hit the ground. Surely. Maybe the Thames? We'll never know! Think a Spitfire over the Isle of Sheppy set out to intercept me.Haha, no catching me heading East at that altitude in this beast! One thing to remark while on the last leg heading West: Engines suddenly running rough! Some fiddling with those really complex fuel tank selectors in the 110 fixed that. I think... Kind of a challenge, you know you do not have that much time to fix it, and flipping them switches may or may not give an instant result... so it's flip switch - wait - wait - no change? Undo flip. Next flip ... lol Worked out fine, landed nicely. It took me some 120minutes ! Next challenge: Similar thing, but in a Blenheim! At least I know how the Fuel selectors work in that beast ... lol
  18. I will probably surely be in ... !

    Welcome

    Same here!
  20. There was no mission last night ...
  21. It's only money ...
  22. To each his own. Far fetched? Silly? Stupid? It's not something I would ever do - but I do admire their creativity ... and determination.
