  1. Wow... missed that one... Good on you to mention it happening, good on us to suggest a remedy, and good that it worked out! TeamWork!
  2. While it is possible to transfer everything, Windows and GBS and DCS, I'd rather install all from fresh - on a new system. After installing it, copy the relevant files/folders with settings over. (Though there's a chance your game controllers on the new motherboard's USB ports may require some extra attention ... not sure. Partitions? One could argue to have Windows on C:-drive, and the rest somewhere else. I have that. But not sure why. Sure, if one needs to re-install Windows, it might make it easier to only format C:-Drive and leave the rest alone. Still, one might need to re-install the rest... I dunno. Downside of multiple partitions/drives is that you have multiple drives that may run out of free space!
  3. Well, looks like it's time for me to retire from this one.
  4. Well, Matthew must be an expert on slow internets... his reply took 8 years to get here!
  5. Question: I do have Tank Crew, but can I still use the 'Free Tank' option you mentioned for this event? And if so, do I get a temporary refund? Or some compensation at least?
  6. Cools, so I am not the only one! (These have been there for ages on my system)
  7. Yeah, I can see it clearly already, you taking notes ... and I'm disappearing on the horizon ... or around the next bend, or over the hill, or ...
  8. I can try and test - if you can provide a basic mission with the spawn point that is? A shared drive on a Friday (or whatever evening) would/could work for me as well. To do a shared session might even be more practical. Like, what you gonna do should your tank flip on its side?
  9. Wait, you want us to drive through yellow snow??
  10. Do we have a hilly area with roads and towns somewhere else on the map? hm... not likely me thinks...
  11. Wow ... googling the error I get the idea it's like a last resort message - something went wrong. Solutions mentioned were to disable windows' fastboot, replace burnt power cables, change windows power settings... links to youtube videos... could be old driver, or bad driver for graphics card... Not sure, but you may need to use google yourself, and slowly check option by option - whether it could be a relevant solution for you. It does sound to like some failing power-save-procedure; 30 minutes in something happens, where Windows or the card switches the signal to the monitor to off where it should not... I dunno. Maybe first check the current video driver, download and install the latest version. Check windows' power save settings for monitor... open up the case, and check the cabling whether everything is connected nicely ...
  12. Me was Red 4 on my first 402nd mission. Red 3 gifted me a 262 kill (Thanks Jabo!), and later dropped bombs on the ground where enemy stuff (artillery guns) was at. BOOM. Cools. Thanks Chris, good show leading our pack!
  13. (Heard there was a big fight in Stalag Luft 13a, Maj. Kendall Bozeman had a 'discussion' with 2nd Lt. Dennis Falcon, as the latter stole the former's kill!)
  14. 2nd Lt Aaron Massengill reporting for duty.
  15. Well... Took off, headed out. Intercepted three Transport planes after SnowDrop called in for assistance. We shot them down. Headed south to complete patrol, then back North. At the point of egress home, decided to make one more patrol circle. Zenith called bandits from heading towards us, from the north. At that point, White 1 and 2 collided. (Blubear and Zukker) Both got killed. Whilst attacking the 109s, Red 3 (Jabo) suffered loss of control due to compression. Red 1 (FT) got hammered by a head on 109 - on fire, baled out. Red 2 (Wingflyr) suffered black out symptoms, and crash landed right on the frontline. And then he woke up. So, yeah, best forget this one fast!
  16. What if the Road to Arnhem does not end there? Could go North, West or East. Might result into "too much of the same" though Battle for the Schelde estuary? 1505-1506 Ardennes, from the German perspective?
  17. Thanks Colin ... !
  18. Man, look at us looking good up there! 😅
  19. 402nd Good job. Good job. Weather was poor, we climbed through the cloud cover, clear skies at 8K ft. After spending some limited time over the clouds, it was time to dive back into them, to find our ground targets. Red 2 was out of sight for a bit in the cloud business, but joined us over the target. Did lots of damage North of Bullay, and a few clicks south. Red 3 reported some damage to his a/c, but no real issue flying wise. Went back to home base where we all landed. Red 2 suffered main gear collapse on touch down. He was fine, his P38 was not. Good show boys, your previous Squadron Leader must have been a brilliant mind for getting you all to this high level of performance!
  20. New way of recording, great!
  21. The bridge to the left has nothing to do with the mission... it's my Desktop background ... lol
  22. One that would be fitting a 402nd squadron leader please Let's go for it - if this Persona bites the bullet, I'll get back in as a newbie pilot ...
  23. Kendall Bozeman reporting for duty!
  24. Major Arjen Eftee is dead. He could not manage flying, talking on comms and focusing on targets all at the same time. He was last seen diving down steeply into terra firma.
