  1. 15 miles from Cambridge city center? 21 miles from Duxford?' Yeah, 'relatively close' ... to a Canadian maybe... ) ("1.44mi from city center" is Huntingdon city center me thinks...) Mind you, not to be criticizing here, just wanted to make clear what 'relatively' means! Camping is not a problem for me... You may have the wrong Map FT. The hotel JP posted link to is next to Cambridge Airport with is les than 3K from city centre. Huntingdon would be around 20 miles away, Duxford is 10.5 miles and 20 odd mins away Oops....I simply googled the address JP posted, and found this: Holiday Inn EXpress Cambridge, clicked on the map, et vôila, Huntindgon! The address is rather similar ... I can now confirm ... I was looking at the wrong map!
  2. Now, I haven't heard whether Friar has canceled his booking... so I'm unsure what I'll be needing ... Friday and Saturday, probably
  3. Sid, you're are year amiss... Your friday July 9th and Sturday 10th have passed already, so 2010! You do want Fri 8th and Sat 9th, or maybe Sat 9th and Sun 10th... ? 2011!!

  5. Campsite at Fowlmere: http://www.appleacrepark.co.uk/welcome.htm Thus very close to Duxford... Read the reviews: child unfriendly! Reviews (7)

  7. Wow... just wow .. he just put them prices up like that... clever business Hm, you are lucky to have booked it at that price Friar, and I guess I am just as lucky, or even a bit more... I guess I'll be bringing my car 'round again... one cán sleep fine in it... or maybe two can, if one's just short of 1m80... Edit: Arthur, not really, the true last resort is that Park & Ride thing I stayed on ... 10GBP for three days!
  8. Hey Swep, happy birthday man... although a day late... oh well... No pics? Have Fun!
  9. Via the Interweb, I can retrieve this: "Cancellation policy Your reservation for the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge Duxford M11 J10 in Whittlesford is an advance purchase rate and a credit card is required to charge full pre-payment at the time of booking. This is non refundable and non transferable." "Advance Purchase Full pre-payment will be taken for this room at the time of booking. This cannot be refunded or transferred in the event of cancellation." And, indeed, it shows prices of 140GBP a night... Link: Holiday Inn Express Cambridge Duxford M11 J10
  10. Friday and Saturday sound fine to me. Haven't thought of the trip there yet, so haven't booked any shipping ... so I'm pretty flexible ...
  11. No single rooms? I'd share a room with ya Friar... but, would you share one with me? Ask JP for details, he knows what nighttime near me is all about, he spent a good part of an otherwise fine night's rest trying to silence me...
  12. freeing up 300mb would be worth it, for sure!
  13. For reading and typing posts, try this for instant result: Hold down the control key, then roll the mouse wheel ... Depending on your browser, it may even remember that setting for the next time.
  14. You sure Snacko? One third of a Megabyte is pretty little and quite insignficant vs. 1Gb I think...
  15. No need to upgrade that hardware, and there's no sense in it. A bigger CPU might be the only option, but the investment would not be worth it, if it's just for IL2. Other games may benefit from more Cores... A re-format may do some good, but, what makes you think about an upgrade? Any issues with it currently? Like you said, the system looks fairly balanced...
  16. Happy Birthday B.!
  17. Here's a trick for you: In game in the controls screen, just assign that particular key to a function you do not use (there must be some of those, I think). If it was assigned before, it'll tell you. If so, press Yes to assign it to the new function. Then do it again (assigning that key to the same new function)... the key will then be set free!
  18. Friar, a suggestion regarding time of day in the mission: Can you forward time to a bit later in the afternoon, so the sun will not be shining straight into the audience's faces? We want them blinded by the beauty of our fligin', not by the sun! (Note: Not talking GMT or DogzTime or whatever, just mission-time!)
  19. Thank you very much!!
  20. You surely meant yellowish-red didn't you?
  21. Brilliant stuff B.! (If I had a garden... I'd ask you to ... But, I don't have a garden!)
  22. I am too tired to read all that...
  23. Thanks B! ("Improved field of reception" might be the one interesting thing for me, as in the past 5 years using the 3Pro, I've only had to disconnect/reconnect it maybe three times...and.... mostly due to my Guillemot stick I'm still on XP)
