@ Nick: Great stuff! Specifically how you've summed it all up, chronologically... Here's an idea, as I'm possibly/probably creating yet another DVD-Video, what if we just add your beautiful photo set to it? As a slide show? Oh, and +1 and then x100 on the image you commented with "I'm pretty pleased with this one..." Jeez, that's perfection! @Swep: I'm happy you did not state "I was never tired" 'cos that would have been an outright lie! (I'm having a heck of a challenge to make the movies correspond with your statements though! )

Sunday, at the show: Looked and sounded a lót like AAA whenever an aircraft came buzzing along... It's Mick that wanted me to take a picture of the clouds, I haven't a clue why though.... As this was blurred, I cut off the public at the bottom... and greyed the thing... nifty stuff, computers and image editing Now you see, that Swordfish is só friggin' slow, it's hard to catch it ....

Saturday: At the show: (That's all I got from the Saturday's show... the rest's moving images) Prepared for dinner: Now here's a set of pics that just scream for some captioning: Waiting for a Cab to take use hote. ('hote' is a relatively new term, it means 'Home to our Hotel'

Some piccies, resized this time, I hope in an acceptable resolution... Thursday: Friday: (What's this 'Gallery' thing? )

Got home 'round 11 am today. Once again a quiet and smooth sailing it was. (The ferry crossing I mean.) The rest was all smooth, yet not so quiet... Thanks all for making it such a great event! Very good to meet mates met before, and even better to also meet mates not met before! Brilliant to be back to driving on the right side of the roads! Already started editing the video recordings! Finally getting the hang of it now: - Friday: Visit Flying Legends and have a look see... - Saturday: Visit Flying Legens and tape it to video - Sunday: Visit Flying Legends and watch the show. And in between those: DEBBS : (Dogz Eat, Banter, Beer & Sleep) Next time I might try a different ways of travel, as it felt a bit silly to arrive in Harwich at 11:15 AM, having to wait 'till 7:30 PM to check in and board the ferry Oh well!

Good set of pics there Jabo! It's just feels like I was there! Oh, wait a minute...

Few more things to say: * Sorry BG about the size of the photo's, but ... successfully resizing them while under the influence of alcohol.. I can't manage. * What's silly Arthur doing hijacking this otherwise perfect thread with pics from a silly 'aircraft' show with friggin' jets in it? Come on! *What a weekend! I'm happy (Fenrir, Painless, BlueBear, and lots of other geezers...)

I saw him land, he had a lot of speed... use the brakes, nearly a propstrike as the tail lifted. Good pilot, he let it run all the way down the runway, to an area out of the way of other aircraft. Here's what I saw: a twirling/wiggling down piece of something falling down, it could be a wingtip. A Skyraider in a steep dive... throttling up fully, emitting black smoke. A falling dot, of which a tiny red thingy seperated. Canopy opened fully. But it disappeared behing the trees. Now the annoying thing was that the speaker was still going on talking (yes, the French git) as if nothing had happened... as it was the balbo landing he went like 'One after the other coming in now and.... yadayada... it felt Só angry and pissed off.... "No you silly bugger! One is NOT coming home!!" Finally, 15 minutes after the show ended (it ended just a few minutes after the incident) there was an announcement of what happened... and that the bailed pilot was safe...
-
Here's a resized one. Sad one though. The demise of Big Beautifull Doll: (See wingtip on right wing...) This Skyraider hit BBD while coming out of the balbo. BBD went down, pilot bailed and is said to be safe and well... BBD is in a hole in the ground ...

Good Job! And thanks a bunch for that PPL disable thingy tip, I just realised my system did the same thing! Switched PPL to disabled, and yes, it boots normal now!

Ooowwww ... just has I had the impression I won this one, comes Jedi raining on my parade! Oh well...
-
Sure, but that wasn't World War... there's always a war going on somewhere...

Never EVER believe the French commentator Well, I'd like to suggest to take it a step further: Never ever LISTEN to the French commentator.... (I wish I could be partially deaf, to the French only, when they're in the UK, speaking frenglish...)
-
Oops.... my bad... (but ... in my defense... that French commentator talks about the Fury! Silly guy I guess...)
-
Me thinks WW2 started september 1st, 1939. If you think it started earlier, then I'd suggest to include 1914-1918, the period in between being just a cease-fire...

We've seen the Three Kestrels last year! (Three Kestrel powered aircraft: Hawker Fury Nimrod II, Hawker Hind, Hawker Demon. Video of their display at Duxford Flying Legends, July 10th 2010.) Edited: It's not a Fury in there, it's a Nimrod II!. Thanks BlueBear!

Silly stuff this, I just discovered that another bug that was in 4.10m and was fixed in 4.10.1m is present in UP3 RC3 (maybe in RC1 and RC2 as well) It's the one when in a coop a static ship is being hit and sinking, after it sank completely, it simply re-spawns. Found this while looking at the Pearl Harbor alternative mission, the Japanese do sink them battleships, and the USA do sink a carrier, but if you let it run long enough, battle ship row looks like nothing ever happened there, and the Blue Carrier is happily sailing along again... As for that PH alternative mission that failed to work in 4.10.1m, I found out it had an invalid height for the second waypoint of the F4F3's (0m). Fixed that, so we can still use it some other time ) (BTW, that PHA mission with the waypoint error in it does run fine on UP3 RC3, no issue there... This stuff is now very close to make me go crazy)
-
It's not that we'll be ignoring UP3... but for now we'll have to switch back to 4.10.1m for the regular coops. There's too many issues popping up, taking out the fun, frustrating all of us 'cos a member can't join, missions can't be loaded, the gunner issue, weird things happening, as an invisible Artie, but only for Pooka... (or was it vice versa?) scoring is messed up... It's too much at the moment!
-
Have tried several missions of the Desert44 campaign, no problem here...
-
+1, times 3 Thanks Colin!

Could have several causes... what mission is it?
