Not being an expert by any sense I would try to add some weight directly under the rotor shaft. Farther down the better, like tape some coins to the belly(no idea how much weight the thing could lift). It seems to me that would make it less responsive to the controls if it's too twitchy for you to get used to at first. Even the slightest gust of wind would be like a 50 mph wind to a small craft like that .... indoors maybe? And shouldn't a helicopter balance right at the rotor shaft?

I think what he means most of all is don't use shift F12 or Alt 7. Use a letter key. I myself am amazed at how quickly vertigo took all the fun out of flying. Its cool but no thanks.

My mistake FOV changer understands only keys from A-Z and as capitals.

I'm sure I read something in the manual about using Shift+letter key.

You could always give the freezer method a try, 500g is a lot of data to copy, might take too long.

Holy crap, how is it that I've never heard of this before? An aspirin per cell in an average car battery? Only ASA I assume? I did some looking. The ASA trick is recommended as a last chance thing. The aspirin's acetylsalicylic acid will combine with the battery's sulfuric acid to produce one last charge. Just be sure to drive to your nearest service station. For a longer term maintenance kind of thing: Give your battery a little more life with this potion. Dissolve about an ounce of Epsom salt in warm water and add it to each battery cell.

It's really expensive for what it is but the batteries interest me greatly. And in Alberta?....... May to October maybe? Dunno the exact exchange rate but it would end up pretty close to $10K. I see more and more Smart Cars (3 cyl. turbo diesel) out here. Probably not so great for the highway but for lower speed roads, 80k limit, they would be good. They will do over 100 but there's nothing extra. We only get the ugly 2 seater in Canada so far but the girls think it's cute. I think they are just over $15K base. ZENN (electric) is an option too I guess but I think they shut down earlier this year. Low sales. And you could only use them on roads posted 60k limit. They went for just over 15K and weren't eligible for the $10k "energy efficiency" grant (stupid huh?).

@JP - I suspect that will always be the stone around your neck. Imagine having a Grand Slam but be able to deliver with perfect accuracy, anywhere, anytime.

A Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and especially you Canucks. I have much to be thankful for this year especially. You Dogs have been very welcoming to me over the last 10 months. And this past week I took the first step towards a long time dream of my own. Just a few days ago I signed the purchase agreement on a 12.5 acre bit of land near Fergus Ontario. While merely a thumbprint by BG's standards its still long enough (1622ft) for a LANDING STRIP. Yay me!

That was a trick response Delta. Your elevator trim is your cruise control. Set your trim and the plane will fly hands off at that speed. Add throttle to climb, less throttle to descend. Set trim to your landing speed, and adjust your touchdown point by adding or reducing throttle setting. You just need to keep the wings level with the stick. Determine landing speed by the feel of the plane, when it starts to burble and shake or drop a wing, you're going a bit too slow. Add 5-10k by just a bit of nose down trim. Some planes don't trim well till you have some(combat) flap down. The C-47 comes to mind as about the worst. In the vault you will find an elevator trim video, it's huge to d/l but well worth the lessons. Follow the guidelines there and I guarantee you will be landing like a pro. And remember elevator trim controls speed

This method does work. Thanks Delta. The only thing you want to add is to know the height of your ground target ASL and subtract that from your bombsight alt. I hit what I'm aiming at about 60% of the time from 5000m

Deleting the folder still leaves stuff all over the place, Application data in the documents, registry and such. Always do a proper uninstall from the control panel at least.

I hope when the young folks of today get to our age they'll appreciate what these guys and the ones serving today have done for them.

If there is no video card installed or it's broken don't you have to have "enable VGA" checked in the bios to see anything? Or is that out of date info these days? I seem to recall having that problem a long time ago. Might be worth having a look anyway.

There was a big patch to America's Army that has fixed a lot of the problems that were an issue for me. I actually enjoyed playing it for the first time since release. I won't say I recommend it yet but at that price it's worth a try.

I do like to hear. The old "fly the airplane" seems to be getting lost in all the technology, glad you have the chance to practice real flying. I saw an episode on TV where a flight crew spent so much time trying to figure out what the warnings and incorrect instrument readings meant that the jet flew itself right into the ocean. I don't think they ever took it off autopilot.

Tiny little things, one flower head about 4" across has over a hundred, mostly seeds. One plant might have 30 flower heads. Takes about 1.5 billion to make a small pie. You take an entire head of ONLY ripe berries, the green ones are poisonous(as is the rest of the whole plant), work the whole thing into your mouth and pull off the berries with your teeth/lips, trying to leave all the stems behind. Chew to get the juice and pulp and spit out the lump of seeds. Was coming home from the cottage today I had about 10 elderberry heads, a handful of wild apples and a wild rosehip.

Yes just starting to change. Elderberries are just getting ripe.
