  1. HMS Rodney and some Tribal class destroyers. New ships to be put into the game with Team Fusion's V5.0 patch. Along with a new map and some new (flyable) aircraft. Sometime.
  2. I've seen this before. In fact I think I posted it here a few years back when I discovered the BBC site has that fantastic archive of material. They like to keep it well hidden don't they? As to the doco; I thought it was really fascinating, especially having two Polish AF Colonels turn up! Interesting attitude that some of these vets had to the bob twenty-nine years after the event too. The other thing that struck me was how old they all looked. Most of them were around fifty years of age when this was filmed - the same age as I am now (ish) - but they seem to look at least ten years older than that. I think it can be seen overseas as this is a purely BBC production too. One last thing; the theme music - ah memories!
  3. See? I told you not to retire! Good luck with it Jack.
  4. Yeah. Lets get to the point here; can you eat it?
  5. I agree with you Jabo but in the case of the pony isn't it still possible to build one from new parts anyway? Didn't some one keep making what was basically a P51 right up to the early seventies? ( he said - straining a limited knowledge to its very limits, lol. )
  6. It gets interesting at 4.00 and very interesting at 6.00 - I think thats when they cross the start line
  7. o.k. Pooka. First of all go; Computer>Programme Files(x86)>1C Game Studios>IL2Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad>Data. In here you will find a file called input. Right click on it and copy. Then just paste it on your desktop. Now you'll need to delete the whole of IL2 Battle of Stalingrad. You can do this through Control Panel>Programmes>delete programmes. After deleting, restart your pc. When you've done that go to the IL2 Sturmovik website. Log in and click on Profile. There will be a red box with the bottom option showing 'download'. Click on this and it will want to download some 350mb of launcher. Don't save it, just click run. When this has finished downloading you'll have the game launcher back. Click on that and it will download the new version of the game itself - about 3 gigs worth. When this has completed you can run the game again. Do it once then exit. Now go find your data folder again and put your saved input folder in there. It will probably ask you whether you want to overwrite the one already present. Yes you do. Now fire up the game again and you should have your control settings back .
  8. O.k., here we go again; BoS is now at 90% complete - whatever that means - and with this weeks major update we have the introduction of the campaign system and....groan...unlocks. Check out dev diary no. 81 http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/page-3#entry170076 Note you have to completely un-install your old game and all it's components before re-downloading the whole thing from your profile page on the IL2 website. This means having to reload all your control settings too. However, I made a copy of my Input folder from the old game and simply copied it over and hey presto! It works fine.
  9. Wow! It reminds me of the bridge of the Starship Enterprise!
  10. I use Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and it works fine.
  11. I wonder who's turn it is to smash this up next?
  12. That was great!! Never been to Malta but it looks luuuverley. Really good pics. Can I just say - as a confirmed old fart - Two wheels and an engine = good. Shorts, T-shirt, Flipflops, no gloves = Noooooooooooooooo!
  13. Indonesia according to his flag.
  14. Is this a male menopause thing? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui5mQE-yIFo I think you should be making it in matchsticks! Edit; actually FT; why not come over for a weekend at my place? We can lift all the floor boards and recover all the bloody Lego thats fallen down there over the years. I reckon there's enough under here to build a full size replica.
  15. I'm really tempted by the Sabre but not sure when I'll get to fly it. Also, being stony broke atm doesn't help either!
  16. My game now says seventy per cent complete. Launch is now four weeks away. "He111? Does it burn, mister?"
  17. Oh chaps! Double bollocks
  18. That's a ...er...remarkable story line! How is she getting on with her career now Todd?
  19. Have you seen this? Looks very interesting. http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11042
  20. How dare you!? And where the bloody hell did Fenrir get that picture of my wife? Happy birthday guys. Hope you both had a great day. Looks like Tonar did!
  21. Yeah, I know what you mean. My computer flying habit grew in 2007 when my older kids were in their teens and did their own thing of an evening. Now they're men (sob!) and do their own thang all the time but my job now is full on and my youngest is nine and there won't be any more after him so................................. However, they'll be increasing windows of opportunity in the future and the stuff coming through now like CLoD, DCS and BoS are running at a new level and more and more people are moving on to them. How about building your own box with a quad core, new mobo and ram and Win7/8 and sticking the gtx460 in for the time being? It'll certainly run CLoD no problem and then you can contemplate a new graphics card at your leisure. I've got an Nvidia 660ti and I think it's a great card and BoS runs like a dream on it but it's apparently getting long in the tooth now and Ebay is your friend.
  22. I might be talking out of my arse here - as usual -but doesn't Windows 8 give you the option of installing Windows 7 anyway? Tonar, the gtx460 you are running now is more powerful than a GT610 card. I just did a quick check of NewEgg and as long as you screw it all together yourself - for just over six hundred bucks you can get an AMD 760K cpu. Thats a quad core running at 3.8ghz. A Gigabyte mobo to stick it on, a 1 TB hard drive, 8 gigs of DDR3 memory, a 600w power supply, a case, a DVD drive and an Nvidia 7600gtx. Re-use keyboard, mouse and screen but operating system will be extra. This system will run CLoD, RoF and BoS on pretty much max. without any problems at all.
  23. BoS at - I think - sixty per cent;
  24. Hear, hear!! Welcome back Deputy. Nice to see you.
