Trim on a slider Comrade Crashski? Nyet. As fruitbat says; you can assign the horizontal stabilizer control on the '109 to an axis because the real thing was operated by a control wheel. The same thing on the '190 was electrically controlled by buttons so.....you have to do it wiv' buttons. I think the only other things you can put on an axis are oil and water radiator controls and prop. pitch. Not prop. pitch for the '109 or 190 though as they were supposed to be flown on auto so its buttons again! Simples. I deleted my old version. I'll never use it again. Not when I've got this DCS 1.5 with everything maxed out and v-sync on. If I switch it off fps go into three figures! Bring on the NTTR

Hmmmm......yeah, I can see some fundamental design flaws here - getting your scrotum caught in the cam wheel under emergency braking would be a major one. @Crash; chain life would no doubt be short but the main problem with these sort of things is the primary transmission - transferring all that torque from the crankshaft to the transmission. I know he had to use a three speed gearbox from a late 'fifties Holden as it was the only thing he could find that would fit in the available space with a butch enough mainshaft to cope with the power output. This engine was created by slicing off two cylinders from a scrap merlin that came out of a Mossie. No problems. I run with 12 gigs of ram though really 8 is enough. I've been really pleased with the results. The big difference was in how it made RoF run as - at the time - it was the only game I had that was designed for quad cores. It made a bigger difference than upgrading my gfx card. Everything was smoother, faster. I ended up overclocking it even more up to the 3.8ghz it runs at now. I wasn't difficult, I made a YouTube search for my chip and found loads of useful stuff. Dosen't CoD run o.k though? It was designed for single/dual core cpu.

I've installed a new mobo and cpu with no problems with Win7.

'Tis true that you won't see a benefit for IL2 or CoD but don't you also enjoy a modern racing sim Friar? If the recommended specs for that game are a multi core CPU then you will see a decent benefit.

Luuuurvley Chris! DH Comet - surely got to be right up there as one of the most beautiful flying machines ever created? Farewell XH558. Must admit I've always had mixed feelings about this one but thats never detracted from my admiration for the dedication of those involved in the astonishing financial and technical feat of making it airworthy and keeping it in the air these last few years.

Got DCS up and running with SweetFX tonight. Looking really good! So good that I've just ordered the NTTR map.

DCS? It's nothing if not character building! Finally got it up and running tonight. WOW!!! Everything on max and 60fps solid and nice and smooth. Impressed. Going to have to order the NTTR map now to really give it a work out.
