I think both of those are the ones owned by the Messerschmitt foundation (EADS)

From TFC's blog today;
Flying Legends 2012 -update 2nd August
Due to the protracted discussions being held with the Civil Aviation Authority regarding Olympic Airspace Restrictions please note that we are unable at this time to confirm the 2012 Flying Legends date.
We will provide updated information on progress for you on a weekly basis.
We would appreciate that you do not call The Fighter Collection about the 2012 dates!
We will update information for you as soon as we can through our usual internet sites.
We thank you for your understanding on this.
No need to start booking hotels yet then.

P.S. "Full monty" for me too - Don't want the French to get complacent.

Except Jedi, the only car he actually drove over was a knackered old Merc - the thousands of pounds worth of Bentley and Ferrari shown in the clip were mysteriously not driven over.
As publicity stunts go though - pretty darn good. Can we have him over here after he's sorted out Washington?

1:48 Mick.
Detail work I'm doing by brush but I'm going to attempt airbrushing the exterior.
When I've made a b****x of that I'll paint the lot by brush
Oh, and after careful consideration, this is the paint scheme I'm going for.

What he said.
Nice to see you back OT.

When will it be ready Nick?
"Two Weeks... Be Sure"
An Olegian two weeks? Definitely.
Seriously, looking forward to seeing this, I have quite a soft spot for the 17.
Great - no pressure then
I'm guessing you've decided on a colour scheme mate?
Yes! Well, no actually. I'm in something of a quandry. Of the three colour schemes presented, I like SX328 and SP343 (Kennets example has been discarded as CBA). Unfortunately my preference of the two is the same as all the others floating around on the forums - so I'm not really sure at present. Currently though, I'm doing the inside bits which are the same regardless so meh for now.

Given the carp floating around on the web, perhaps it's not that surprising.

Lol - good call.

Which is doubly odd as I didn't have to do that with mine...go figure.

I'll think about it.

Fortunately my two would kill and eat him if he got too close. Lol

OK, preliminary price is £121 per room - Single, Double, Twin, whatever - which is already better than this year (obviously not as good as the Cambridge price though). I'll call them tomorrow and see what else they can do.

Given the total area painted so far is about the size of a small postage stamp, I'll hold off on the piccies for now.

Trackir should appear as an 'unknown device' in Device Manager (Right-Click 'Computer', select 'Manage' then select 'Device Manager' under 'System Tools'). All I did was to install the appropriate version of the TIR software then right-click the 'unknown device' and select 'Update driver'. Win 7 did the rest for me.
Win 7 should detect the X52 OK, but there are no native (built-in) drivers for it, so d/l the appropriate driver from Saitek (make sure you get the 64-bit one if you're on 64-bit Win 7 - same applies to the TIR s/w), install it and then the X52 should pick up OK. The Saitek SST has also been updated for 7, so that works too.
Incidentally, all this works with UAC on.

Making a start - will update as build progresses
First coat of paint going onto cockpit bits and pieces

Sheeesh. I suspect the the number of times he uses the word 'sh*t' is inversely proportional to his IQ. Tactical strike anybody?

I'd be happy to assist you Bucky, as I already have those devices working on my rig. Just have to sort a mutually acceptable time.

Grrr. I now have to wait until Monday and ask again then as their 'systems' won't allow bookings 50 weeks and 1 day in advance.

I dunno MT, far too many ROF'ers around here already.
Lol

Hi guys, I know it's a bit early, but I've opened negotiations with the Holiday Inn at the Red Lion this morning to find out what kind of deals they're prepared to do for us.
I'm told they will get back to me later today.

In a word, bloody brilliant!
Great work Chris!!

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I have a prior engagement. Could I suggest that if Jim does make an appearance, someone records the audio from TS as I don't think we have that at present.

Hmmm, looks familiar...

~S~ Jim, like Pooka, I want to thank you for press-ganging me into the DDz - I still have that shilling somewhere. I little thought that the group of reprobates I met in the Red Lion four years ago would become some of my closest friends and constant source of good-natured banter and welcome support when times get tough. So thank you Jim for putting the DDz together and for letting me be a part of it. As Pooka said, the DDz will carry on but without you at the helm it'll never be quite the same again.
~S~ m8 and here's to blue skies and the song of a Merlin...

Yes and no, some of the old mods do work, I think Fruitbat and others are developing lists of viable mods. Either wait for that or try them out yourself. Personally I've gone for the 'stock' RC4 which includes things like hakenkruz etc and looks pretty good as is.
Depends on whether or not you want to host dogfights.
