Pretty cool D7, and it's got my lucky number too! I'm surprised the engine cowling hinges from the back on a FW-190. Imagine taking taking a round through the middle of the cowling and it shatters the clasp and the cowling flies up and buggers the pilot's view!

I saw this on another forum and I thought I'd give it a try here. One person makes a wish... "I wish I had a better job." The next person turns the wish against them... "Granted. @ Delta7 - Yep, that's the one I'm going to get. I almost bought the same kit off eBay for £18, but I luckily got out-bid and then saw it at Hannants for £16. Phew! Then I'm going to get this to go with it...

GMan, did those canopy masks come with the kit, or did you have to do them yourself?

Cheers guys. The thing was I watched all of Brett Green's videos off YouTube, on how to build a great model, the only thing was that all his work was all done on a 1/32 scale Bf-109. So when I tried to replicate his tips on my 1/72 one, some things just didn't work. I must of sprayed at least 6 coats of paint on that fuselage trying to get the mottling right. I love airbrushing, it lets you get away with things like that. @ Delta - I have 2x 1/48 scale Bf-109s on my shelf (a G10 & a G14) but I want to do a G2 next instead.

Finally, it's finished and I'm pretty chuffed with its outcome... But I'm NEVER doing a 1/72 scale aircraft again! Detailing it was a nightmare. 1/48 all the way from now on.
