I'd go for a slice of Eastern front. JU-87s were deployed to Stalingrad weren't they? I'm sure I seen them in the film 'Enemy at the gates.' That opening scene where those Russian conscripts get shipped in on landing craft and get straffed something wicked. Brutal! But we can't trust Hollywood for accuracy can we, U-571 and all that crap.

Well after watching that video above, I set my convergences to... MGs & Cannons @ 100m After practising online and offline, I found that I'm hitting things way much more now. Even when targets are 200m, 300m and even 400m away. Plus my lead shooting is way more improved too. I guess the default setting of 300m was making me give too much lead and I was over-shooting the target. I tested this fully in QMB with unlimited ammo and with regards to lead shooting, I found out that I was giving too much horizontal lead, and really what I needed to do was give more vertical lead instead. That surprised me. I guess the rounds got there fast enough, but gravity was having a bigger effect than I anticipated. Horses for courses...

Chaps, I've never touched my convergence settings, but I will be soon! Has anyone else seen this clip on YouTube about this topic? This would help me a lot if I were playing on a server with no labels whatsoever. p.s. I just noticed that this vid is on the very 1st page of videos of http://www.darts-page.com/ so you all probably have seen it. But I hadn't, and I was well informed.

You don't really need 23mm guns to bring down choppers at low level. Any volume of small calibre fire, aimed towards the tail, is likely to bring it down. Or like in the movies, just shoot an RPG up the backside of a moving helicopter.

Chaps, The other week I did search on the IL-2 forums for a guide on how to perform Level Bombing with a He-111. One of the guides I found was a general bombing guide that included level bombing, dive bombing and another type of bombing. This other type of bombing guide mentioned flying real low ~100m, and dropping the bomb almost as you are on top of the target. But of course they mentioned you need to set the bomb delay to 3 seconds to stop blowing yourself up. But where do you set up your bomb fuses? I looked through the keymap, but couldn't find the option!?!? Or is it somewhere else, is it in the type of bomb you select?

I wouldn't mind flying alongside some fellow mud-shifters, but since I've joined up, I think I need to pass my L plates first?
