  1. Wow, that FA-18 pilot is LUSH! I'd bite her bum!
  2. Thanks for that T_O_A_D, I'll give it a try. I used VirtualDub with the MSU OldCinema Filter. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virt ... p?download http://compression.ru/video/old_cinema/index_en.html
  3. I think you're right Friar, shame really. How about this for a test shot... http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e144/ ... attack.flv Too much old reel style? Doesn't look right with icons on does it? Loses the effect.
  4. p.s. Cheers Sid!
  5. Chaps, I'm trying to make a movie from the BoB tracks, and I'm trying to remove all icons and any text on the screen. I created a new mp_dotrange file and set nearly all the relevant entries to 0.0, but that didn't work. So then I set them to 0.1, but still no joy. Anyone help?

T_O_A_D, Have you heard of social bookmarking? Basically, you save all your bookmarks to a central server, and wherever you go, you can then access this server and get to your bookmarks. There are many of them, I use Delicious.com, but there are several more like DIGG. Also, they have plugins for Firefox for these services. So when you see a site you want to bookmark, there's a little button in Firefox you click to save it to your account on Delicious. Instead of using your browser's in built bookmarks, which only allow you to use them on that PC. Then there's another FireFox button that you can click to instantly see all your bookmarks. Previously, I used to keep exporting my bookmarks to a memory stick and import them between my work PC, my home PC and laptop, and back and forth all the time. Also, now when I go home to England or on holiday, I can always get instant access to my bookmarks with whatever PC I use. If you're worried about privacy, you can prevent others from viewing your Bookmarks. But I've found a lot of good links by searching on user's Delicious bookmarks, instead of Google.
  7. I'm working on some vids. Will try to get some good photos too.
  8. Joe was proudly showing off his new apartment to a couple of his friends late one night after drinking. He led the way to his bedroom where there was a big brass gong and a mallet. "What's with that big brass gong?" one of the guests asked. "It's not a gong. It's a talking clock", he replied. "A talking clock? Seriously?" asked his astonished friend. "Yup", he replied. "How's it work?" the friend asked, squinting at it. "Watch this sh1t" he replied. He picked up the mallet, gave the gong an ear-shattering pound, and stepped back. The three stood looking at one another for a moment. Suddenly, someone on the other side of the wall screamed, "You asshole. It's three-fifteen in the morning!"
  9. I was fine with FPS, but I did hear JP complaining of low frame rates.

  11. Nice one Friar & Klinger! Those missions were fantastic and thanks for all your hard work. How did it feel being in the hot seat last night Kling? And well done to the Allies for securing the British Fish n' Chip industry for future generations, your efforts will not be forgotten!

  17. I agree with this Jabo. I recently got a new PC with 2x 400GB disks setup with RAID mirroring. So my OS (Vista out of the box) sees only 1x 400GB disk. So the first thing I did when I booted it up for the first time, was to remove the RAID and re-install with XP. So now I have a 400GB C:\ partition which has NOTHING on it but the OS. Then a 400GB D:\ partition with every piece of software and game on it. We use mirrored RAID drives at my work, because what's on our software developer's PCs are important. But nearly every week we get problems with the RAID drives getting out of synch. A real pain in the ass they are. As for Hamilhoff's problem...? Is this an old PC that has just stopped working all of a sudden? You have to be careful, as you can easily destroy what's on either disk if you bugger about with the RAID configuration. Often what we used to do with the older RAID drives, was disconnect one disk and boot up. Then repeat procedure with the other disk. Then you can find out what disk can boot up and the one that doesn't.
  18. Do the two cards use DHCP or do they have static IP addresses, internally?
  19. Gec, Like others have already mentioned, these 2 NICs of yours are likely the cause. I'm only guessing here, but if you have XP, you can go to the Network Connections folder (usually my right-clicking on the My Network Places icon on the desktop) and clicking on the Advanced tab along the top. Then in that first tab, you can say which NIC has priority and what services are bound to it. I would put your router connected NIC at the top of the list. See if that does anything?
  20. Wu-Hoo! Sounds fantastic!
  21. That's some scary torture equipment you've got there BG. * Cue the banjos from the movie DELIVERANCE *
  22. You've lost me?
  23. Friar, The problem with these unique, labelled, skins is that they are one complete, flattened image. So further alterations aren't easy. With this skin... ... you can see that the lettering is not only on the fuselage, it extends down on to the wing roots. Since this is a flattened .bmp image, you would need to paint over the white lettering with the correct camoflage colour it sits atop of. Including the weathering too! Which as far as my knowledge of skinning is concerned, would be a job and a half indeed! Once the original lettering is 'painted' out, then you'd need the correct font type to re-write the lettering at the correct size. Or even worse, hand draw the lettering. Then weather that new lettering to match the rest of the aircraft's. Maybe some of the others who have more skinning experience can find an easier way. BUT... the easiest way to fix this, is if you can get a hold of the original template of this skin, that still includes all the layers, a Photoshop .psd file usually. Then I could resize the Lettering layer, till it matched the size you wanted. But the only way to get a hold of that is to beg the creator for it. Which he might not be willing to do so. $0.02
  24. Okay.
